“I want my hair plait!” 🥰🤍🥹✨

One of my favourite things about doing children’s hair is when they can confidently tell me exactly what style they want. It’s more than just getting their hair done , it’s letting them express themselves, make little choices and feel proud of their crown. ✨

Because little girls deserve to feel heard, beautiful and confident too 💕

Yesterday, while I was working, I had gospel music playing in the background. As usual, I was singing, praising and worshipping while I worked. That’s just me. Wherever I am, whatever I’m doing, there’s usually a song of praise coming from me. 🙏🏽

Then I looked down and saw my goddaughter sitting quietly in the chair, reading her Bible on her tablet.

And I just paused. 🥹

Because in a world where children are so easily consumed by TikTok, YouTube and everything competing for their attention, here was this little girl sitting in an atmosphere of worship, choosing to open her Bible. She didn’t know I was recording her. I simply wanted to capture the moment because it touched me deeply.

It reminded me that children are watching. They may not always say anything. They may not always respond when we speak. But they are watching what we do. They are listening to what we play. They are absorbing the atmosphere we create around them. Sometimes we wonder if what we’re doing is making a difference.

Keep doing it 🥹🙏🏽

Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep playing the gospel. Keep speaking about God. Keep living what you believe. Because you never know when the atmosphere you create will become the environment that draws someone else closer to God. Yesterday, I wasn’t preaching to her. I wasn’t telling her to read her Bible. I was simply being me. And somehow, she was soaking it all in.

That blessed me more than she will ever know. 😮‍💨🫂🤍🥹✨

I never rush the child. I never rush the preparation. I never rush the process just to say, “We’re finished.”

Children aren’t adults in smaller bodies. They have different comfort levels, different personalities and different needs.
