Boundaries are your BESTIE 🫶🏼

And I know how icky it feels when you’re used to being a yes women or putting everyone before yourself

But when you put boundaries you WOW you have an anchor, a new layer of protection and self worth

And people feel that!

When you respect yourself, your time and your energy, other people will too

And if they don’t, maybe they’re not your people 👀

I used to track everything and I know I’m not alone in this!!

And I am throwing no shade at a Apple Watch or a Oura ring

But when we start to DEPEND on these numbers, red flag 🚩

I used to track my food, weight, calories, workouts, sleep…

But then I let them tell me how I felt, how good my workout was, what I should do next

NO ✋🏼

I’m a grown woman, and if I had a really good workout but only burnt 100cals, I still had a good workout

So watch out for this! I know it feels good as it gives you something to control and something to validate you

But you have your own wisdom too and you can celebrate yourself, eat well and feel good without using a number to measure 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

De-coding your emotions 🧠

Frustration is a brilliant indicator that you are somewhere somehow over stepping your boundaries

Maybe you’ve said yes to going out when you want to say no

Maybe you feel guilty not to hang out with your family, even when you’re exhausted

Maybe a friend wants to talk to you about what’s going on in her life but your emotional capacity feels full

Whatever it may be - learning to honour that within yourself is going to make it SO much easier to then actually show up as the person you want to be

Every time you respect a boundary, you are teaching the people in your life to respect it too (which can be rather uncomfortable at first, especially if you’ve been constantly over giving your whole life)

No one can lean on a crumbling rock, so my best advice

Get better at putting your needs first, listen to frustration instead of ignoring and know boundaries are healthy and normal and part of every good relationship 🫶🏼

The tea ☕️

There was a time when I tracked every calorie I ate

And honestly it did work

Tracking taught me so much. It helped me understand portions, learn what was in my food, realise how much protein I needed, and gave me awareness I simply didn’t have before

It isn’t something I regret - it was a tool that helped me build the knowledge I have today 😌

But these days, my relationship with food looks different

I don’t feel the need to weigh everything or log every meal because I’ve spent years learning what fuels me, what satisfies me, and what helps me feel my best

I trust myself to eat enough, to nourish my body, and to honour what it needs that day

That doesn’t mean tracking is bad

And it doesn’t mean intuitive eating is the goal for everyone

They’re just different tools for different seasons

Some people need more structure because they’re learning

Others are ready to lean into trust because they’ve built that foundation

Neither makes you “better”

It’s simply about meeting yourself where you are

Your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s 🩵

JULY YOU WERE SO MAGICAL ✨🤍📸

This month was full of moments I’ll remember for a lifetime 🥹

I watched one of my best friends marry the love of her life!! I stood beside her as Maid of Honour, I travelled, laughed until my stomach hurt, ate some GOOD food, spent quality time with people I love & created some amazing memories

It feels important to me to acknowledge there were also days that felt heavy, a lot of grief, self doubt & days where my mind was endlessly loud

And I think that’s what I’m taking away from this month…

A beautiful life doesn’t mean a perfect one

In fact, what if the imperfection IS what makes life so beautiful? 💭🥰

We’re living in a world that makes it incredibly easy to avoid ourselves

When something feels uncomfortable, we scroll, binge, stay busy, distract, numb

We’ve become attached to labels

And for sure, sometimes labels are incredibly helpful!! They can bring understanding, community & access to support

But sometimes... they can quietly become our whole identity

For example: there’s a difference between saying “I’m feeling anxious today” and “I have anxiety”

One describes a human experience, the other can become part of how we see ourselves

And the stories we tell ourselves matter

When we believe we ‘are’ something, it can feel almost impossible to imagine growing beyond it

But what if emotions weren’t problems to fix but instead messages to listen to?

What if your sadness is really healing a part of you?

What if fear is why you feel so incredible once you overcome it?

Imagine your anxiety wasn’t always something to fight, but something to allow

What if we’ve spent so much time trying to escape discomfort... that we’ve forgotten discomfort is often where the greatest transformation begins?

Not every emotion is a sign that something is wrong

Sometimes it’s simply a sign that something within us wants to be heard 🫶🏼
