I’m no longer interested in the number, but in the beauty of the tattoo once it’s healed nicely… What matters more to me is the happy client who comes back and tells me he’s been stopped on the street more than once, with people asking to see the tattoo and complimenting him on it. It makes me happy that he goes around with a tattoo made with a lot of patience. I like that there was time taken to create it, and all the calm in the world to be able to walk around with a well-executed project. I’ve discovered that being the Tortoise from Aesop’s famous fable of the Hare and the Tortoise isn’t so bad after all.
