Il problema non è sposarsi. È che poi inizi a volere TUTTO.

Un’Ape al posto della wedding car.
Un tableau che ti indica il tavolo mentre prendi uno Spritz.
Una tote bag fatta per ogni invitato.
Un guestbook che, invece di leggerlo, lo ascolti.
E già che ci siamo, facciamo arrivare in Ape anche la torta.

Atmosphere isn’t added. It’s designed.

I often return to this wedding when I think about what atmosphere really means.

They are both marine biologists, living and working by the sea in Spain.
So blue was never simply a colour choice.

It belonged to them. To their story. To the sea.
And to this little church overlooking it.

This is what I look for when I design an event: not simply beautiful elements placed together, but choices that feel as though they could belong to no one else.

Because when design carries identity, beauty becomes something you don’t simply see.

You experience it.

Calabria can change completely within just a few miles.
The landscape, the architecture, the atmosphere, the traditions all shift. And with them, the way an event can be imagined.

I’ve always been drawn to places before they become the obvious choice.

That’s where Somewhere in Calabria begins: a selection of places, towns and details I know, discover, or return to with a different perspective.

Not a list of venues.
A selection of possibilities.

There are places that preserve history. And then, for one day, they become the setting where a new story begins.

The Archaeological Park of Laos, in Santa Maria del Cedro, is one of the very few places where a civil wedding can be celebrated within an archaeological site.

These are the places I continue to seek.

Because, to me, a wedding is so much more than a celebration.

It is an experience that tells the story of a place, its heritage and its traditions.

Calabria never stops surprising me.

And that is why I continue to choose it. AF

Turn it over, however, and it reveals its most unexpected side: a bespoke crossword inspired entirely by the couple’s story. Every clue uncovers a memory, a shared passion, a place close to their hearts, or one of those small details that truly define who they are.

An invitation to pause, to smile, to play and, above all, to step into their world before the celebration even begins.

The truth is…

my life this week was made of long days,
quick coffees,
flowers everywhere,
stolen moments,
my team beside me,
a birthday cake somewhere in the middle of it all,
and that feeling of always living between beauty and chaos.

This was my birthday week.
Intense, full, real.
And it felt exactly like me.
