NATURAL HANDMADE SOAPS

In ancient times, people generally use natural things to clean their body like Milk, Wheat Flour, Gram Flour, Multani Mitti (Fuller Earth), Lentils, turmeric, Honey, rose water and fruits like Papaya, Banana, Almond, etc. People first used to apply oil then powdered Lentils (Dals) rubbed on the skin to remove dirts. Grandmothers made soaps with ash and oils. The modern commercial soaps were invented in Europe around 8th century. The English began making soaps during 12th century. During 19th century commercial soaps came to India with the Britishers. Most of todays commercials processes contain many preservatives and harsh chemicals that strips off the moisture content in skin. I started making cosmetic as an hobby after my husband retired from Army. After a very hectic army life as senior officer’s wife, there was hardly anything to do. As I belong to Assam and surrounded by nature, I wanted to make some natural products. My sister was already into Beauty business since 1979 and she had run little enterprise in Assam, I join her and started with soaps, creams, shampoos, face packs and cosmetics as recognized by people.
