Eximport India

*India SME Forum Session*

I had the opportunity to attend an insightful and informative session organized by India SME Forum at Hotel Mumbai House.
The session was highly beneficial for exporters and business professionals. Director General Ms. Sushama Mothania delivered a valuable presentation covering key aspects such as:
Effective strategies to pitch buyers
Communication techniques with buyers under RBSM
Export packaging and labelling requirements
Other critical topics relevant to exporters
Her session provided practical insights that can significantly enhance export readiness and business communication.
Additionally, Mr. Sidharth Dubey conducted an informative session on:
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Patent registration
Trademark protection
His presentation was extremely informative and emphasized the importance of protecting business innovations and brand identity.
Due to a pre-scheduled meeting, I was unable to attend the second half of the session. However, the portion I attended was highly enriching and offered valuable takeaways for business growth and compliance.

The India-European Union (EU) free trade agreement (FTA) will see India cut steep tariffs on a range of European agri-food products, including wines, olive oil and processed foods, while keeping politically sensitive farm sectors outside the scope of liberalisation.

In parallel, India and the EU are negotiating a separate agreement on Geographical Indications (GIs). The GI talks aim to help traditional European farming products sell more in India by addressing imitation and unfair competition.
