RaSa Dance (Raoul And Sangeeta's Academy of Dance) was founded in 2012 by Raoul Dsouza and his dance partner, Sangeeta Mehta. The academy’s main objective is to inculcate a passion, hunger & appreciation for dance. By creating an environment around dancers & foster a continual nurturing for various styles of dance as well as building a strong foundation upon which the true potential of dance can
be reached through a series of customized batches, workshops & private sessions. Aligned to our motto “Dance away to Nirvana, we at RaSa believe that armed with the fuel of passion the truest expression of dance can be materialized to reach the highest peaks of perfection i.e Nirvana. We humbly utilize our personal exposure & experience in dance of more than a decade, to teach & cater to all age groups & are personally committed to ignite the same learning & yearning in you. Raoul D’Souza has 2 lives that he swears by - an HR professional by day & Dance Addict by night & smoothly manages the two. Inspired by the famous “Dance with Me” movie, he finally found his calling. Today, with more than 11years of dance repertoire under his belt span across dance forms like Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha, Casino De Rueda, Jive etc he was born ready to teach & inspire & motivate people to dance. Sangeeta Mehta was born to dance. She started learning Bharat natyam (a form of indian classical dance) since the age of 5. Thirteen years later, she performed her “Arangetram”. She then went on to perform and choreograph for a Bollywood fusion dance troupe in Boston that ended up winning many dance competitions across the states. When she moved to Mumbai, she became a professional Latin dancer and has been teaching Latin forms of dance like Salsa, Cha Cha, Bachata, Casion de Rueda, etc for more than 3 years now. Her Passion & resilience for dance is instrumental in her campaign towards bringing the art of dance to everyone. Together Raoul & Sangeeta make up for an immense pool of talent and are known as one of India’s Best Dancing Couples .
