If you want to use your eyeshadow as a lipstick, don’t mix the Vaseline directly into your palette. You’ll probably regret it later. 😭

Here’s why:

✨ 1. Hardening / Glazing
The oils in Vaseline can bind with the powder particles and create a hard, shiny layer over the eyeshadow. Once that happens, your brush may struggle to pick up the pigment properly.

🦠 2. Bacterial Growth
Powder cosmetics are designed to stay dry, which helps limit microbial growth. Introducing a wet, occlusive product like Vaseline directly into the pan can introduce moisture and create a more favourable environment for bacteria and mold, especially with repeated use.

💄 3. It Can Ruin the Texture
Instead of your smooth, blendable powder, you can end up with a greasy, patchy texture that doesn’t apply or blend the same way.

💡 THE BETTER WAY:
Scrape a small amount of eyeshadow onto a clean mixing palette → add a little Vaseline → mix → apply. ✨

That way, you get the creamy lip colour you want without sacrificing an entire eyeshadow pan. 👀💋
