Kaladiksha is the dance school started in 1991 by Padmashri Meenakshi Chitharanjan to train students in the Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam. Over the past 25 years, she has trained over 600 students and successfully debuted over 30 students. Meenakshi Chitharanjan is a rare combination of a successful performer and a dedicated teacher, whose passion for excellence shines through her commitment to Bharatanatyam. To her, capturing the essence of this ancient dance form, preserving the unique beauty of the Pandanallur style, expanding the repertoire through innovation and experiment has become a mission, a passion, a way of life.

Kaladiksha presents Bharatanatyam arengatram of Samantha N Shivakumar disciple of Guru Smt.Meenakshi Chitharanjan, Sunday Sept 6 at Music Academy main hall at 6:05 pm .
A Divine Setting. In May this year dancing at Bekal Goushala Festival was a unique experience. Every artiste before commencing performed Gou Puja and then presented their offering to Krishna witnessed by 250 cows all over on the premises. I felt I was in Gokulam with the naughty charmer.
Celebrating Krishna Janmashtami with a glimpse from our recent shoot for a digital presentation on Meera Bai, bringing the iconic bhajan “Pagha Ghungroo Re” to life.
This piece explores Meera’s deep, unshakeable devotion to Lord Krishna. When she ties her ghungroos and dances in pure bliss, she becomes completely detached from the judgments of the world around her embodied in the beautiful lines “log kahe Meera bhayi bavri” (people say Meera has gone mad).It was an absolute joy capturing the emotion, storytelling, and rhythm of this timeless narrative through dance.
Wishing you all a beautiful and blessed Krishna Jayanthi! ✨🦚
