Kenseido Israel

It is a unique form in that it not only focuses on blocks, punches, and kicks, but also locks and throws with equal emphasis. In Kenseido, students are taught martial skills such as coordination, strength, speed, and grace through self defense techniques, as well as the customs and culture of the authentic martial arts. Brief History:
Kenseido's roots and origins are ancient, stemming from the traditions and techniques brought to Japan over a thousand year period by the Shaolin (Shorinji in Japanese). The skills, customs, and culture of contemporary and Samurai era Japan, and the innovations of Akizuki Masayuki earned Kenseido official recognition in Japan as an authentic Sogo (comprehensive) Budo in 1973. Kenseido was established in the United States in 1986 by Shihan Winslow Swart, his wife Pamela, and Shihan Masami Nakahashi. He runs the Kenseido United States Headquarters Dojo in San Antonio, Texas. Kenseido is now being brought to Israel by his daughter, Sensei Alessandra Swart Pressman, who is the second highest ranking non-Japanese woman of Kenseido, preceded only by her mother, Shihan Pamela Swart. Alessandra Sensei is a third degree black belt, and has been training for over 19 years. She is a candidate for Shihan, and she has experience teaching students of all ages and levels in the dojo, various summer camps, and in schools.
