THE STRAND APOTHECARY METHOD

There are two elements I consider essential to the Strand Apothecary facial experience: facial reflexology and a bespoke aromatic blend.

Facial reflexology is woven into the treatment to encourage deep relaxation, ease facial tension and create a quiet sense of wellbeing.

Using precise, considered touch across the face, it becomes a beautiful transition between advanced skincare and the more restorative side of the treatment.

Alongside this, your facial includes a bespoke blend of essential oils, selected following consultation and with your individual needs, preferences and treatment in mind.

As a certified aromatherapist with 30 years’ experience in the field, I believe essential oils should be chosen with knowledge and intention and never simply selected because they happen to smell appealing.

The result is a facial that works on more than the surface.

This is the Strand Apothecary Method, my signature approach to facial therapy, created to bring together results-driven skincare with the restorative rituals I have practised throughout my career.

Aromatherapy is more than choosing an oil that simply “feels right”.

As a CIBTAC Certified Aromatherapist with 30 years’ experience in the beauty, wellbeing and holistic therapy field, I believe essential oils should be selected with knowledge, care and intention.

Every client is different. Their needs, skin, lifestyle, sensitivities, current wellbeing and treatment goals all form part of the consultation. From there, the oils and their dilution are carefully considered to create an individual blend that is appropriate for that person, on that day.

For me, aromatherapy is a therapy, not a guessing game.

There is something very special about working with essential oils, but their beauty lies in understanding them: their properties, interactions, contraindications, safe usage and the individual person you are working with.

At Strand Apothecary, your treatment begins with listening, observation and professional knowledge.
