In this photo, you can see that during aspiration, blood appeared in the syringe. This indicates that the needle tip may be positioned within a blood vessel.

Why is this so important?

Aspiration before injecting the product can provide an additional indication that the needle tip may be within a vessel. If blood is aspirated, the product should not be injected at that point.

Injecting the product intravascularly can lead to serious complications.

Fortunately, I know how to recognize this situation, how to respond appropriately, and how to follow safety protocols.
