Let me tell you a little secret... it’s called soda ash.
It happens when the surface of freshly made soap comes into contact with the air while it’s curing.
It’s a completely natural part of the soap-making process and is simply a result of the chemistry that turns oils into soap.
The good news? It’s only on the surface, it’s completely harmless, and it doesn’t affect the quality, lather, or benefits of your soap.
Most of the time, it washes away after the first use.
