A STATEMENT FROM BELLA BEAUTY BAR

We are aware of a social media post currently circulating regarding a lip blush treatment carried out in our salon. As this post is now being shared with our clients and is affecting both our business and professional reputation, we feel it is important to address the matter publicly and provide the facts and photographic record from our side.
Firstly, we want to make it absolutely clear that we do not alter the treatment results shown in photographs of our work. The photographs accompanying this statement were taken immediately following the treatment and show the lips from multiple angles. The lip shape, outline and treatment result shown in these photographs have not been digitally altered or retouched by us.
We have built a large and loyal clientele over many years and pride ourselves on professionalism, client care and the standard of our work. The trust our clients place in us is something we take extremely seriously.
On the day in question, the client attended our salon for a lip blush treatment. Shortly after leaving, she contacted us with concerns that the result appeared uneven.
We explained that immediately following lip blush, swelling can be present and that the appearance immediately after treatment is not the final healed result. We advised the client that the lips needed to be allowed to heal fully before the final result could be properly assessed and that we would assess them once healing was complete.
The client subsequently sent photographs directly to us later that day. There is a noticeable difference between the appearance shown in those photographs and our photographs taken immediately following the treatment. We believe it is important that the complete photographic record is considered rather than the treatment being judged solely from photographs taken at a later stage.
Despite the treatment not yet having completed the healing process, we issued the client a full refund.
We also offered for the client to return to us once the lips were fully healed so that we could assess them properly and discuss the appropriate next steps. The client declined this offer.
The client later chose to undergo saline removal treatment with another provider. To be completely clear, this removal was not carried out on the day of the original treatment. Subsequent removal procedures have taken place outside our salon and were neither performed nor supervised by us.
As further procedures have now been carried out, we cannot determine from photographs alone what effect those subsequent procedures, the healing process or other factors may have had on the current appearance of the lips.
For this reason, we believe it is important to distinguish between:

• Our photographs taken immediately following the original treatment
• Photographs subsequently sent directly to us by the client
• Photographs taken after subsequent removal procedures had begun

Photographs showing the lips after additional procedures cannot, on their own, demonstrate how the original treatment appeared when the client left our salon. That is precisely why we are providing our contemporaneous photographs from the day.
We respect every client’s right to discuss their experience. However, when our work, our business and our professional reputation are being discussed publicly, we believe it is equally reasonable that our documented evidence and the complete timeline are available so that people can see both sides and form their own opinion.
We have always put our clients’ safety, satisfaction and wellbeing first. In this situation, we listened to the client’s concerns, provided a full refund, advised her to allow appropriate healing and offered to reassess the lips once fully healed.
We will not engage in personal attacks, speculation or an online argument. This statement is simply intended to provide our side of the matter and the photographic record we hold.
