People who work outdoors can spend years accumulating UV exposure — and new research highlights why that matters☀️

A nationwide Danish cohort study followed almost 2.9 million workers for a median of 19 years, identifying 11,344 cases of melanoma.

The findings showed a clear exposure-response relationship: workers with the highest cumulative occupational UV exposure had a 57% higher incidence of melanoma compared with those with the lowest exposure.

For farmers, construction workers, tradespeople and anyone who spends much of their working life outdoors, sun protection shouldn’t just be for hot or sunny days — it should be part of the working routine.
