Wild Hideaways is a DarkSky Approved Lodging, the first in Europe. Six self-catering lodges in the Mealagh Valley near Bantry, West Cork.
Adults only and dog friendly, with a private alfresco hot bath at every lodge, a sauna, cold plunge and spa.

Apparently, there’s no such thing as a badly behaved dog. Just a dog with… personality. 😉💕
The snorers.
The bed hogs.
The shoe thieves.
The ones who choose the worst possible moment to p**p and the ones whose zoomies appear to be powered by something slightly crazy! 😳🤣🌻

We write those words often here at Wild Hideaways, but to me, they mean something much deeper than simply spending time outdoors.
Wildness is an awakening of our true, natural selves. The part of us that remembers we are not separate from nature. We are nature.🍁
There is something about immersing ourselves in the elements that brings us back to that. Breathing deeply in the fresh air. Feeling the heat of fire against our skin. Stepping into cold water and feeling every part of ourselves suddenly, vividly alive.
Perhaps it makes us feel so alive because it reminds us that we are alive. Growing, shifting and ever-changing, just like the landscape around us.

There’s something very special about being chosen for someone’s honeymoon. A few slow days tucked away in the West Cork hills, good food, quiet moments and time simply to be together.❤️❤️❤️

“Incredible honeymoon experience here. Totally tranquil, gorgeous location. Facilities were perfect. Everything was simultaneously simple and luxurious and staff were a pleasure to deal with. Homemade garlic bread and pizza were divine. We got two cloudy nights for the stargazing experience but the serenity we experienced was undimmed. We will be back!”

“A fabulous place to enjoy lots of rest and restoration and take in the stunning scenery of West Cork. The cabins are absolutely beautiful, you are greeted by Wild Hideaways’ stunning signature scent on arrival and immediately put at ease.
The cabins are super clean and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could require. The facilities – outdoor bath, sauna and plunge pool are fantastic.
We enjoyed a session in the Wild Sky Dome which was magical, despite it unfortunately being a very cloudy evening it was still super relaxing and enjoyable.
Wild Hideaways are extremely dog friendly which was so important for us to include our dog Darcie in our trip. She was thrilled with her own bed and a treat on arrival! And really loved the Zoomies Zone.
The food was delicious and we availed of it for all our meals during our stay with plenty of variety and all really enjoyable and super easy to prepare. Would highly recommend and hope to return ourselves in the future :)”
