✨ACNE JOURNEY✨

It’s no secret that my passion for skin started with my own struggles. I have battled acne since a teenager but in particular it worsened when I attended beauty college, the product we were using did not agree with my skin at all and my skin reacted in the worst possible way.

Post pregnancy my acne really flared to the point where I wanted to hide, couldn’t wear makeup, had 0 confidence and honestly lost my sence of self worth.

Over the past year since completing more advanced skin & aesthetics training and really diving deep into the root causes and treatment of acne I am now in a position to be treating mainly the scars left behind.

On the left of the above photos you can see the inflammation, redness, severely compromised skin barrier from following ‘TikTok trending skincare’ and overall not a great diet, no sleep schedule and stress.

My skin is nowhere near perfect yet, perfect doesn’t exist but there has been a significant improvement.

What have we done so far?

Bring in the beauty industry i was always hyper conscious of my skin and was consistently comparing myself to others. My passion is deeper than ‘making people feel nice’ it’s about helping those who feel like they have tried it all, those who want to wake up and feel worthy and those who may not realise how beautiful they are.

Wow!! What a weekend it has been!🥹🥹

We have spent the last 2 days attending two fabulous award ceremonies where we have so proudly been FINALISTS in 16 categories between the two!!

On Sunday, after a busy morning in the Athlone salon for both myself and Sinead we got in our way to limerick to celebrate the thebeautycouncilofireland awards! I myself didn’t take home a trophy this night but I’m sure most of you know being a finalist is all that matters to me, to be recognised is crazy!!

Yesterday night we attended the Best In Beauty Awards Ireland awards and wow, all we can say is WOW!! We soooo proudly came home with FIVE awards between the Sligo & Athlone salons! From Nail salon of the Year, Tanning professional, the DREAM TEAM, Beauty Therapist and one more which I won’t lie I will have to update as Sinead has them on the way to Sligo at the moment and we were just in such shock I lost track of the awards😂🙈🙈

We just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you to every single one of you who show up such love and support every day. Without you there would be no Glamorous, we truly appreciate you.

📢Important Announcement! NEW OPENING HOURS

Coming into effect from 16.09.2026.

As my regulars know I will no longer be doing late night & Sunday appointments from the 16th September onwards, my little girl is now starting primary school and it has always been the plan that once she starts school I will be altering my hours.

For the previous 2.5 years I have worked from 7pm until sometimes as late as 2am and every Saturday & Sunday, it’s now time I sort out my own sleep schedule and spend some time with my family 💓

I will always try my absolute best to accommodate you all but please try book in advance as I am aware many of you will need Saturdays in particular💘
