Stuvvz – A Creative Journey Through , &
Founded in 2013 as a personal webzine by a visual arts graduate, Stuvvz began as a passion project to hone writing skills and explore creative expression.
What started as a digital experiment quickly evolved into a dynamic platform for art and culture, culminating in the release of its first bilingual 150-page print magazine in 2015.
By 2017, Stuvvz refined its focus, becoming a dedicated art and culture , showcasing emerging artists, thought-provoking essays, and cultural commentary.
The following year, Stuvvz Productions was launched, expanding into live events, artistic direction, and creative collaborations—bridging digital and physical art spaces.
After a hiatus due to the founder’s full-time commitments, Stuvvz attempted a 2020 reboot, but the demands of a newly launched content marketing boutique consultancy took precedence.
Now, the vision is being rekindled: Stuvvz.com will return as a personal art portfolio, serving as a foundation for future growth.
Once momentum builds, the goal is to revive the magazine’s legacy—featuring artist interviews, cultural critiques, and a renewed commitment to elevating creative voices.
Stuvvz is more than a platform; it’s a testament to artistic evolution, resilience, and the enduring power of storytelling.
“We share the stories of those who create with passion.”

"Play is arguably one of the most positive agents in people’s lives, yet, it has become one of the things we often choose to give up in return for growing up. Well, as New Zealand play theorist Brian Sutton-Smith once said, “the opposite of play is not work. The opposite of play is depression”."

The thing is, most of us know very little about the actual art of the moving image. From analog to digital, screen content has shaped societies and birth cultures."

"Being a full-time artist is not an easy path. You have to set aside a huge amount of self-doubt and anxiety about things like financial stability before you pick up your paintbrush and decide to make a go of it. And moments – hours, days, months, sometimes years – of desperation are part of the package. You can’t avoid that, and you shouldn’t want to avoid it, because the bad days make you appreciate the good ones all the more."

Loneliness or Solitude? - Still-Life art by Lorn Curry – StuVVz.*= This artist’s story is close to my heart. Apart from the both of us being Canadians, I was also in the journalism/ media industry and was also “forced to find another way to exercise creativity as outlets were limited.
