When the nail plate stretches and separates from the nail bed... who is to blame?

The first reaction is usually that my nails are green, my nail technician must have done something wrong.

But that's not the answer at all!

There are many reasons for separation from the free edge: nails left too long, strong mechanical impact, impact, accidents at work, improper use, filling arrived too late, picking, but there may also be individual characteristics or health factors in the background.

What to pay attention to? Many everyday movements put a strain on the free edge and stress points without us noticing:

– opening a shampoo bottle

– opening a can

– folding the opening tab of a soft drink or energy drink

We use our hands and nails for everything, which is completely natural. The nail plate can become stretched and partially lifted from the nail bed due to stress, and you need to be very careful, as it provides an open space for pathogens.
