I'm not sure if that is what Quinn thought of his treatment or if he was annoyed that it was over 🤔🤣

I have been treating Breago for 10+ years now and today was the most relaxed and sleepy he has ever been.

🐴🍂 TOP TIP TUESDAY - Preparing Your Horse for the Cooler Months 🍂🐴

As the days get cooler and the nights draw in, it’s a good time to start thinking about how the changing weather can affect your horse’s muscles and movement.

❄️ My top tip: Don’t let your horse go from standing around in the cold to suddenly working hard.

A proper warm-up becomes even more important as temperatures drop. Allow plenty of time for walking, gentle mobilisation and gradually increasing the intensity of work. This helps encourage circulation, prepare the muscles and reduce the risk of stiffness or strain.
Also remember that regular movement is just as important on those chilly days when maybe our motivation is lacking! 🥶

Regular massage can also be a great addition to your horse’s winter routine, helping you keep an eye on areas of tension and supporting their overall comfort and mobility.

What a way to start the week 💖

✨Top Tip Tuesday✨

Did you know that your horse's behaviour can be one of the first signs of physical discomfort?

A horse that suddenly becomes grumpy when being groomed, reluctant to bend, struggles with transitions, or pins their ears when tacking up may be trying to tell you something.

Take a few minutes each week to run your hands gently over your horse's body. Notice any areas of heat, swelling, sensitivity, or muscle tension. The sooner you spot small changes, the easier it is to address them before they develop into bigger issues.

Regular bodywork, appropriate exercise, and paying attention to your horse's subtle signals all contribute to keeping them comfortable and performing at their best.

A trip to see golden oldie Crumpet this morning. Crumpet is experiencing some postural changes due to her age so is having regular treatments to help her adjust and keep her comfortable.
