Watched The Last Dual at the cinema today and the reality portrayed in the scenes set during the 1300s are not dissimilar to the values held by some nations today.

As women, please stop and appreciate that, while our rights are not privileges, they are still rights not awarded to thousands and thousands of women in certain parts of the world.

Posted • Just like our precious planet our minds are beautiful, unique one-off, special destinations, unlike any other and BECAUSE we only have one, and because the balance is so fine tuned and fragile, the smallest of things can throw it all out of kilter!

Just like the planet’s delicate eco system we need to care and nurture our mental health, look out for where we might make changes in our lives… perhaps build in a little more time for just being, breathing, looking, listening, moving with intent, resting, reading not scrolling, laughing… only you know what you need, but you have to start listening to you!

Your body will tell you but nothing will change if you don’t listen or act on it.

This World Mental Health Day we want to open up to you all - both of us struggle with our mental well-being - for me, Jo, it’s been for more than 25 years. For me, cycling and being outside and Iifting weights and yoga and meditation helps but sometimes other things get in the way - this year has been particularly tough… debt, bereavement, anxiety, stress, depression, money worries, job hunting… you name it I’ve been there… still am, but you do what you can, right?

For Amelie too, many factors influence her mental health but at times her panic attacks have been overwhelming this year.

I am no expert, although I have learned a lot and I help others through my .energy.walkrunlift business, but we felt it was important to share this today.

So from us, to you, cut yourself some slack and take a moment.

Self-care isn’t selfish. It’s essential. x

Not gonna lie - this is the first year since I was 13 that I haven’t headed off to foreign shores overness the summer months - before I continue I want to stress I know many, many people do not have the privilege of holidays and travel and I am super appreciative of and grateful for the opportunities life has given me. But this has been my life and I am going to be honest. I’ve really missed it. I enjoyed my camping break in Dorset and was so happy it didn’t rain! But I miss being abroad for more than just the weather - I miss the warm seas and the culture and speaking another language and the sense of adventure and all of that means that without charging my batteries in my favourite way, in what has been a very full on year, I am not looking forward to the coming seasons. But I will do what I always do and face it with optimism and a smile when I can - because what is the alternative? xx

I thought it was about time I properly introduced my other venture - I set up with my 18-year-old daughter in June this year as an extension to the work I do with essential oils - trying to help make it easier for people to switch their habits and help create a greener, cleaner world with less impact on the planet.

may be small now but it has great vision! Think of it as a teeny weeny baby kitten, runt of the litter, but who grows up to be a proud, feisty king moggy of his street, who demands respect and affectionate strokes from every passer by 😹 - master mouser and hogger of the warmest seat in the house!!
