With xanthelasma, we will sometimes choose to treat the area over multiple sessions rather than being overly aggressive in one treatment. This allows us to work in a controlled way, respecting the delicate skin around the eyes and allowing the area to heal fully between sessions.

The number of sessions required will depend on the size, depth and extent of the deposits, with every treatment plan tailored individually.

The redness you can see in the before image is known as Post-Inflammatory Erythema (PIE).
