The confidence boost I needed 🙌🏼

7 months postpartum and 3 weeks out from the New York Marathon 🗽

This block has been short and sweet. Very short notice on a place for this race, a baby at home plus a LOT of new exciting things I’m somehow trying to fit in. But it’s an opportunity I’ll forever be grateful for thank you MAURTEN

Today it all started coming together. Legs that actually moved. A run I FINALLY enjoyed 😍

No time goal for this one. My ABC goal is simple: smile my way round.

The discipline is disciplining. Today gave me the boost to know I’ve got this 💪🏼

😂 I’M NOT GIVING AWAY 5 SPOTS …

I’ve already got a brilliant group of committed runners inside TAP Training Club and I’m focused on giving them the best possible coaching experience.

BUT… I’ve got the next best thing 👀

I’m opening up 5 FREE SPOTS for runners outside the group to join my Marathon Kick Off Call tomorrow.

An hour where you can get the knowledge you need to understand what needs to happen in your training between now and December, so you can get ahead of the game before those miles start stacking up.

We’ll cover:

🏃 What your training should look like over the next few months.

❤️ Why your easy runs are probably too fast and the heart rate ceiling that’ll help you fix it.

🥤 How to fuel runs over 60 minutes, including what yo eat pre and post runs to stop any gut problems

👟 Running shoes, strength training and prehab

🦵 How to tell the difference between a niggle and something that needs more attention.

🧠 And the big one WHY you’re running this marathon and how to hold on to that reason when training gets tough.

Because whether you’re raising money for a cause close to your heart, proving something to yourself or ticking off a massive life goal, running a marathon is a BIG deal.

Race day is going to be memorable.

So why not give yourself the best possible preparation for it?

An hour of practical advice, a clearer idea of what needs to happen next and a chance to get ahead of the game.

Completely free.

📅 TOMORROW Sunday 11 October
⏰ 7pm UK time
💻 Live on Zoom

I’ve got 5 FREE SPOTS available.

Want one?

DM me MARATHON and I’ll get you sorted.

Why is no one talking about the MIND when training for a marathon…

…but every runner who’s got through the last 10k without falling apart did.

AND NO IT’S NOT MORE LONG RUNS 😳

You’ve built the legs.
You’ve nailed the fuelling.
Now don’t let your own head undo it at 32km.

Because it will get loud.

“My legs are dying.” “I can’t do this.” “Everyone else looks stronger.”

That voice isn’t you. It’s a pattern. And you can train it out of the driving seat weeks before race day.

I’ve put together the exact mental toolkit I give my runners so they turn up:

✅ with ONE technique they’ve practised until it’s automatic
✅ with a plan for the bad patch, not a hope it doesn’t come
✅ running their own race, not someone else’s splits

I’m not dumping all of it in this post because you’ll forget it at 32km anyway 😉

👉 Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the full Marathon Mind guide straight to your DMs.

Save this for your next long run.

Tag your race buddy who “just gets on with it.”

Your race deserves better prep than gritted teeth and hope 👀

Berlin Marathoners 👀

Read this before you look at your time again.

You are not the only one.

Half of Instagram had the same race.

Strong for 20km.

Then the heat took your legs and you spent the next two hours fighting your own body just to get home.

And you got home.

But the marathon was never today.

Let me tell you what it actually was 👀

It was the week you couldn’t get out of bed for the morning run and got up anyway.

It was the long run on a Friday morning because every weekend was already full.

It was three weeks where every run felt rubbish and you had no idea why, but you still ran.

It was the day you said, “I feel like I’m failing” and did the session anyway.

It was the week you said, “I just want to quit.”

And didn’t.

It was standing in the start pen on your own, terrified, wishing someone was beside you…

and stepping over the line anyway.

That was the marathon.

Today was just the final 42km of it.

And you didn’t break one promise to yourself the whole way through.

That’s who you are now.

Not someone who ran a marathon.

Someone who kept their word to themselves for months when it was hard, boring, uncomfortable and painful.

Most people never do that once.

Your watch doesn’t know any of that.

It knows two lines and one day.

Your family & friends didn’t fly to Berlin for a time.

They came for you ♥️

Ask them your finish time next week.

They’ll have forgotten.

The fitness is still in your legs.

The discipline is still in your bones.

Neither disappeared at 22km.

You just didn’t get the day you deserved.

You will get another day.

Tonight, eat everything.

Have the w**e.

Cry if you need to.

Leave your trainers alone.

The time was one day.

The person you became through the discipline is in you forever 🤍

Send this to someone who needs it tonight.

This bod can do HARD things!

If you’re running Berlin this weekend, swipe through this one before you go 🤍

Race day is hard, yes. But you already know that. What people don’t see is everything that happened before it. The early alarms, the long runs alone, the weeks you kept showing up when nobody was watching and nobody was clapping.

That’s the real work. That’s what got you here.

So by now, you’ve already done the hard part 🙌🏼

Berlin is just you getting to enjoy it.

Good luck to every single one of you lining up this weekend, we are SO proud of you already 💛

Tag a friend who’s running and feeling nervous, send them this and remind them they’ve got this 👇🏼

That smile in this photo? Does NOT tell the full story 🤣

That run was HARD. Random fields, random lanes, random everything I deserve a GOLD Duke of Edinburgh just for navigation today.

Training for a marathon is hard. Training for a marathon 6 months postpartum is a whole different ball game 🙈 No pelvic floor issues today though, and that is NOT a small win. That’s everything I would have wished for a few weeks ago 🙌🏼

Progress over perfection, always. Showing up on the hard days is the whole game.

Grateful for this body and everything it’s doing right now 🤍
