If you’re nervous about aesthetic treatments, unsure which product is right for you or worried about having something unfamiliar placed into your body, PRP may be worth discussing.

A small amount of your blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge. This separates the platelet-rich plasma, which is then carefully collected and used as part of your personalised treatment.

PRP is autologous—which simply means it comes from you. It can be used to support:

✨ Skin recovery alongside microneedling
✨ PRP biofiller treatments

For biofiller, part of the collected plasma is further processed using controlled heating and cooling to create a gel-like consistency. This can provide subtle, temporary support and volume in carefully selected areas, such as beneath the eyes.

Standard PRP isn’t dermal filler and doesn’t create instant volume. Results develop gradually, vary between clients and a course may be recommended depending on the concern.

How we got to HERE… from HERE 👀

This result wasn’t achieved by simply “filling the dark circles.”

First, I assessed what was contributing to the under-eye concern—including hollowing, natural pigmentation, skin quality, puffiness and the support through the cheek.

This client had suitable anatomy for tear-trough filler, so the aim was to carefully soften the hollow and create a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and cheek.

I also selected a specialist tear-trough filler containing amino acids, chosen not only to replace the lost support but to offer a gradual brightening effect as the product settles.

The structural improvement can be seen immediately, while the brightening may continue to develop over the following days.

The result?

✨ Less shadow beneath the eyes
✨ A smoother lid-to-cheek transition
✨ Gradual improvement in brightness
✨ A fresher appearance without looking overfilled
✨ A client who still looks completely like herself

It’s important to be honest: the brightening effect is not permanent, and filler cannot permanently remove natural pigmentation.

The tear trough is a delicate area, so conservative treatment, careful product selection and correct patient suitability are everything. More filler does not automatically mean a better result.

Not everybody is suitable, and sometimes my recommendation will be a different treatment—or no treatment at all.
