As your natural nail grows, the structure of your enhancement moves forward too. This is one of the reasons regular maintenance and infills are so important.

The correct placement and amount of product depends on the length, shape and natural nail underneath. Longer nails generally require different structure to shorter nails.

If the enhancement is too thin, it may not have enough strength or support. This can make it more likely to bend, crack, break or lift during everyday wear.

Getting the liquid-to-powder ratio right is essential. Too wet or too dry can affect how the product applies, sets and performs.

The product needs to be placed correctly to create strength where the nail needs it most — while still keeping the finished nail looking slim and natural.

Knowing how much product to pick up, where to place it and how to move it takes practice. The aim is to create the structure with your brush rather than relying on endless filing afterwards.

🤎 Shaping
Square, almond, coffin or something completely different — creating a clean, balanced shape means looking at the nail from every angle.

🤎 Understanding the natural nail
Not every client’s nails are the same. Nail shape, length, lifestyle and natural nail condition all need to be considered when creating a set.
