How often should you get a sports massage? 🤔💆♂️💆♀️
The sweet spot for maintenance massage is 3 - 6 weeks.
💪Ongoing tension and stress
💪 Maintenance work
💪 Training for sporting events
💪 Dealing with injuries
💪 Working on desk related pains
In my experience, starting off with 3 weekly sessions, helps the body to start releasing tension, learn how to relax any structures that have become guarded due to injury or over use and start moving more freely and feel lighter. Following this depending on your goals, weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions might be perfect for you.
Whether you want weekly, fortnightly, monthly or longer time periods between sessions. Sports massage can help with any goal you have. We work with busy schedules, budgets and goals to help you reduce pain and restore movement.
Our subscriptions are perfect for any budget.
1, 2, or 4 sessions a month with one easy payment.

Sometimes to feel rested and recharge your energy doesn't mean you take a nap. Although that can help but not always ideal.
You need to give your body and mind time to switch off and relax.
01: Switch off - Stop consuming information... Doom scrolling is not resting, it's stimulating.
02: Meditate - Slowing your breathing can take you out of stress mode.
03: Drink some water - Dehydration can make you feel worse!
04: Take a bath - Hot water and a bit of bubble bath can relax your muscles, body & mind.
05: Get outside - Move your body, a short walk or gentle stretching can help reduce the sluggish feeling.
Busy lives and crazy schedules can cause the little things to get pushed out. Taking time for yourself and recharging your batteries makes it easy to tackle the things that come your way.
I think Sarah Millican said in her book 'How to be Campion' - try a hobby that you enjoyed when you were younger and it might bring happiness into your adult life.

You don't have to feel like you're running on empty!
Sports massage isn’t just for athletes. It’s a powerful way to restore energy, support recovery, and help you feel like yourself again!
✨ Here’s how it helps ✨
**Boosts muscle recovery**
When your muscles are tight, overworked, or injured, your body uses a huge amount of energy trying to repair them. Sports massage supports this process—helping muscles recover more efficiently so you’re not constantly drained.
**Increases circulation**
Improved blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients delivered where your body needs it most. The result? Better function, less fatigue, and a noticeable lift in energy levels.
**Reduces physical pain & mental stress**
Pain is exhausting. It keeps your nervous system on high alert and can wear you down mentally as well as physically. Massage helps calm that “red alert” state, easing tension and allowing your body (and mind) to finally relax.
**Improves flexibility & range of movement**
When your body moves more freely, everyday tasks require less effort. Less strain = more energy for the things you actually enjoy.
💭 And if you’re injured… 🥰
... It's exhausting in ways people don’t always see.
Your body is working overtime to heal.
You may feel frustrated, less independent, and stuck doing less than you’re used to.
Your nervous system stays heightened… and sleep can suffer too.
All of that takes energy.
💛 Here’s how you can manage that and protect your energy 💛
Be kind to yourself — healing takes time
Focus on what your body *can* do, not what it can’t (right now)
Allow yourself to accept support — you don’t have to do it all alone
Pace yourself when returning to activity — progress doesn’t need to be rushed
Book yourself a massage 😉
Healing isn’t just about fixing the body—it’s about restoring balance, energy, and trust in yourself again.
Take care of your body, and it will take care of you 🤍

Soak the Stress Away: The Power of a Hot Bath for Tired Muscles.
After a long day at your desk, hunched over a screen and carrying the weight of the world in your shoulders, there’s nothing quite like sinking into a hot bath 🛁✨
The warmth helps to relax tense muscles, improve circulation, and ease away those nagging aches and pains that office life can bring — especially around the neck, shoulders, and upper back 💆♂️💆♀️. It’s the perfect way to switch off your mind, let go of stress, and give your body a little TLC.
Pair your hot bath with some gentle stretching or deep breathing, and you’ll feel lighter, calmer, and more refreshed — ready to take on whatever tomorrow throws your way 💙
Your body works hard for you. Don’t forget to return the favour!

🙌 90 minute sports massage - perfect to tackle two issues or painful areas 🙌
Let me give you an example for a 90 minute appointment.
Suffering from neck pain and shoulder stiffness AND have lower back pain and tight hips from sitting at a desk for 8hrs a day, 5 days a week.
I try to keep the flow of the appointment going so there's not much flipping over but it will happen!
Start by opening up the chest, going into the neck, flipping over to working on muscles around the shoulder blades and into the neck. Working on the whole back including Lats then into the lower back.
QLs are a lovely place to start working on when the hips are tight, flipping over for quad and hip flexor work, flipping back over for hamstrings and trigger pointing the glutes - everyone's favourite!!
Side line work can also be thrown in to the mix - a personal favourite of mine it to perform MET on glute med, QLs and TFL to help release lower back stiffness and free those tight hips. It feels delicious!! 👌
90 minutes is a perfect time for a full body work up to reduce pain and movements restored!
