The Beauty Lounge - Urmston

The last 12 months have been a journey I never expected. I’ve taken time away to recover, not only physically but mentally too. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me that sometimes life has its own plans for us, even when they don’t make sense at the time.

I’ve learned that healing can’t be rushed. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is let go, trust the process, and allow ourselves the time we need to rebuild.

Today, I’m so happy to say that I’m returning to doing what I love, providing beauty treatments and helping others feel confident, relaxed, and beautiful.

This journey has given me a new appreciation for self care, resilience, and the importance of looking after ourselves, inside and out. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported me, checked in on me, and patiently waited for my return.

Here’s to new beginnings, fresh chapters, and trusting that everything happens when it’s meant to. I can’t wait to welcome you all back and see some familiar faces again.

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing to you all that from now I will be taking a break from providing treatments through the beauty lounge to focus on 2 very important things.

1. My mental and physical health and creating a healthy life style that reduces regular flare ups for me.

2. Creating an online training course jam packed with all of the regularly missed important info for becoming a successful business owner within the beauty industry. (This journey has been incredible for me and my family. We have benefitted so much from having the freedom and flexibility of being self employed. Knowing I can now have an impact on creating that for others brings me so much joy).

I haven’t come to this decision lightly and have tried so hard to manage my symptoms to continue providing high quality treatments for you guys along side the medical madness, but it is unfortunately not possible for me to sustain this job role any longer.

I hope you all understand where this has come from and for anyone struggling with endometriosis or fibromyalgia - Be kind and patient with yourself ❤️

If you are an existing client please do not panic. I am not going anywhere just yet. I have lots of work to still do behind the scenes before reducing my lash tech hours so you do not need to worry. I will continue being a dedicated lash technician along side this new chapter as after all, I can’t get through life without my fortnightly catch ups with you guys 🖤

I’m not just your lash tech. I’m your therapy session, your peace from the chaos, your sneaky nap time, your friend, your supporter your cheerleader, your time to let go and belly laugh. Use your appointment time however you need to. Pick your music, maybe you want sounds of the sea instead or a silent appointment. If so ask for a lip mask for a silent, no chit chat app 😘

Understanding your lash cycle helps understand retention changes.

If you are a regular client I can visibly see the lash cycle when I have you in for your infills. As most of you know, I let you know if I feel you are about to have a big shed or if you have just had one, and everything inbetween 🫣 I’m a lash geek!

I can tell the difference between a lash that has shed and a lash that has been pulled out guys 🤣🤪

If a lot of your lashes are in the anagen or telogen stage, you may hear me advise we go a little lighter on your infill to reduce weighing down them cute new little lashes or pushing your telogens to prematurely shed.

If a lash is applied that is too heavy for your natural eyelash, two things can happen.
1) The lash will not last and fall off.
2) The natural eyelash will shed sooner than expected.
- Both leaving you with lash loss.

Please take my advice if I recommend a lighter lash lining it will keep your lashes nice and healthy 🖤

It’s official, I am finally working from the cabin and will now only be salon based on a Friday.

I cannot wait for you all to see the space and share with me your thoughts and ideas to make it as cosy and zen as possible.
