✨ HAIR EXTENSION MAINTENANCE MATTERS ✨

Hair extensions are an investment, and a little love between appointments makes such a difference to how they look, feel and last. 🤎

I recommend maintenance appointments every 6–8 weeks. This allows me to check your natural hair, remove any natural shedding, prevent matting and tangling, and reposition/refit your extensions where needed.

Your home care is just as important:

🤎 Wash thoroughly – gently work shampoo through the scalp and between your extensions rather than rubbing or piling the hair up.

🤎 Rinse, rinse & rinse again! – product left around the bonds/rings can cause build-up, itching and tangling. Make sure the water runs completely clear.

🤎 Condition from mid-lengths to ends – avoid applying conditioner, oils or masks directly to the attachment areas.

🤎 Brush correctly – support the hair at the root with one hand and brush gently from the ends upwards, then carefully brush through the root area with an extension-friendly brush. Don’t just brush over the top!

🤎 Separate your extensions regularly – gently running your fingers between the attachment points helps prevent shed hairs from tangling together.

🤎 Never sleep with wet hair – dry the root/attachment area completely and loosely plait your hair before bed.

We naturally shed hair every day, but when you’re wearing extensions those hairs can remain trapped within the attachments until maintenance. That’s completely normal – regular maintenance simply prevents those shed hairs from becoming tangled or matted.

6–8 weeks maintenance + good home care = happy natural hair, beautiful extensions & longer-lasting results. ✨
