LOWER FACE TOX | DAO + NEFERTITI LIFT

Lower face ageing isn’t always just about volume loss — muscle activity and downward pull can also influence the appearance of the lower face and jawline.

The DAO (depressor anguli oris) muscles pull the corners of the mouth downwards. Carefully placed botulinum toxin can reduce this downward pull, helping to:
• Soften a downturned appearance of the mouth
• Create a subtle lifting effect at the mouth corners
• Improve overall balance of the lower face

The Nefertiti Lift targets areas of the platysma along the jawline and neck. By reducing platysmal activity, treatment can:
• Reduce downward muscular pull on the lower face
• Improve jawline definition
• Soften prominent platysmal neck bands
• Create a smoother, more refined appearance through the jaw and neck

My own results are also a perfect example of why toxin is never one-size-fits-all.

Muscle strength can differ from one side of the face to the other. In my case, one side has responded well, while the other still has greater muscle activity and now requires more units at review.

This is exactly why individual assessment, precise placement, appropriate dosing and review are essential — sometimes different muscles, or even opposite sides of the same muscle group, may require different treatment approaches to achieve a balanced result.
