What a week 🏆✨
Fresh off the back of our wins at the GB Beauty Awards, I’m so proud to also have been selected as a Wildcard Judge for Best Hair Education at The Leading Awards 2027.
Education is such a huge part of what I do, so this one feels particularly special. 🤍

Quick fix vs structure + foundation.
When you work with replacements, it can be tempting to focus on getting to the finished result as quickly as possible.
But a good result starts long before the final styling.
It’s about making sure the structure and foundation are right first, so the system has the best possible base to work from and the end result feels secure, considered and properly fitted for the client.
The quickest solution isn’t always the best one.
Sometimes taking that extra time at the beginning is what makes all the difference to the finished result.

A proud little moment for Ayrshire Hair Loss Clinic 🏆
This weekend, we were named Scotland Regional Winner – Hair Loss Specialist of the Year 2026, as well as taking 3rd place nationally at the GB Beauty Awards 🥳🥳
It’s always lovely to have the work happening behind the scenes recognised, particularly in an area as personal and specialist as hair loss.

My aim with training is never to just throw information at you and send you on your way. I want you to leave feeling confident, supported and clear on exactly what you’re doing next.
We covered a lot during Stacey’s session, but everything was broken down step by step so it felt manageable rather than overwhelming.
Seeing someone leave feeling more confident in their knowledge and knowing they can come back to me with questions afterwards is exactly what training should be about.

If you have alopecia, putting a hair topper over already fragile hair isn’t always the harmless solution it’s made out to be online.
I’m seeing more and more people being recommended toppers without enough consideration for what’s actually happening underneath.
When hair is already weakened, fragile or actively shedding, adding extra weight, tension or repeated attachment can sometimes place even more stress on the hair you’re trying to protect.
A topper can absolutely have its place - but the most important thing is understanding the cause of the hair loss first, the condition of the existing hair and whether that option is actually suitable for you.
Hair loss isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither should the solution be.
