As a therapist I not only address your dogs muscles I also look at your dogs gait, posture & daily activities formulating a home care plan.

Kim is a Shropshire based Registered Vet Nurse, accredited Clinical Canine Massage Therapist, Certified Canine Mobility Nurse/Therapist & Certified Canine Exercise Rehab Therapist Canine Massage is a safe form of complementary therapy achieving results in as little as 1-3 sessions working alongside your Veterinary Surgeon for the best possible outcome. Massage can help to treat a variety of conditions ranging from soft tissue such as sprains/strains to orthopaedic issues such as elbow or hip dysplasia addressing tight sore muscles, tension, trigger points & myofascial pain. I find that this therapy is especially useful for dogs with arthritis as it helps to provide hands on natural pain relief & improving quality of life as part of a multi modal approach. Your dog does not need to be injured to benefit though as massage is great for keeping them in peak condition helping to detect any areas of discomfort before they become a problem. Kim also has an interest in nutrition, oncology & senior care. She is also a fully trained pet first aid instructor offering day courses.

Just noticed yesterday was Veterinary Nurse Day!! ❀

I have been in the Vet profession for 33 years 28 of which as a Registered Vet Nurse - during my career I have seen many changes & run an out of hours clinic, been Head Nurse, sole Nurse in branch Vets & now I am a part time senior Vet Nurse mainly covering consulting ❀...............

Being a Vet Nurse has been an honour to help so many animals & their guardians through the good & not so good times, it has helped me massively with my own business as another passion of mine is canine rehab & pain management....................

Here's to the future & being the oldest Vet Nurse in practice 🀣

Going & gone 😴
Today's post massage snooze face is from Sherlock ❀

Sherlock is an 11 year old lad with some discomfort/stiffness through his hind limbs which is causing compensatory issues so we are trying clinical canine massage to help ease his aches/pains, today was his first session & he was a super star!

As you can see from his sleepy face I think he will have a very relaxed afternoon πŸ™‚

Next up the obvious treatment I provide....clinical canine massage therapy 🐢❀

This hands on complementary therapy still amazes me with the results that can be achieved, suitable for all ages & breeds this is a must for dogs!!

Clinical canine massage has so many benefits, these include:
🐢 Better mobility
🐢 Improved quality of life
🐢 Improves blood & lymphatic flow
🐢 Quicker recovery time from soft tissue injuries such as a strain or even post op from some orthopaedic procedures
🐢 Stress relief by helping to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system

To find out more then please do get in touch, I also have a clinic coming up at Ellerdine Village Hall so for £5 you get a muscle check for your dog & a chance to chat about any concerns you may have 😊

Meet Dennis 🐢❀

This gorgeous lad was referred to me for a pain assessment visit from a local dog trainer Rian's Dog Training as he was experiencing an increase with anxiety both inside & outside the home........

After being with Dennis pain was suspected as an underlying factor as he had some gait abnormalities as well as areas of discomfort especially his back so he was referred to his Vet for a dignosis & pain medication was prescribed.......

Fast forward a few weeks later & I get this email from his guardian.....
"He's a different dog honestly! Even kids agree he's so much happier, more focused and easier to walk and engage with, listens more , i'm taking him on longer walks again like before, got my dog back.
Thanks to you and Rian
I hope you are well and keep up the good work you do 😊 # # #"

This makes it so worthwhile for me & is why pain assessment appointments are now available to help dogs like Dennis lead happier lives!!! No dog should suffer in silence 🐢
