Skin tags, stubborn thread veins, random little lumps and skin that's decided to start behaving like a teenager again... 😂

Welcome to my world! 👋🥰

I'm Vicky, a Registered Nurse, skin enthusiast, lover of all things clinical and the face behind DermaDivine Advanced Skin Health & Rejuvenation here in Tamworth.

And I have to say, I bloody love what I do! ❤️

My days are a mixture of...

❄️ Removing those annoying little skin tags, sun spots and suitable benign lesions with CryoPen®.

⚡ Tackling those stubborn thread veins and cherry angiomas with ThermaVein®.

✨ Helping improve skin texture, scarring and signs of ageing with SkinPen® microneedling.

🌿 Working with clients who are fed up with acne, rosacea, pigmentation or skin that just doesn't feel like theirs anymore.

And sometimes, it's simply someone walking through my door saying...

'Vicky, I've got this thing on my face and I've absolutely no idea what it is!' 😂

But here's what I really want people to know.

I'm not here to sell you a treatment you don't need.

I'm here to understand your skin, work out what's actually going on and help you make informed decisions about what we can realistically achieve.

Sometimes that's a 15-minute appointment to tackle one tiny, irritating vein.

Sometimes it's months of working together to get your skin healthier, stronger and happier.

And sometimes it's me saying, 'Actually, I'd like you to get that checked before we do anything.'

Because good skin care isn't just about what we CAN treat. It's about knowing what we SHOULD treat.

So whether you've got a tiny something that's been driving you absolutely bonkers or you're ready to properly invest in your skin health, you're very welcome here.

No judgement. No pressure. And you definitely don't need to know all the fancy skin terminology before you get in touch. 😂

A simple 'Vicky, can you help me with this?' is absolutely fine by me. 🥰

Has your skin suddenly started behaving like it has a mind of its own? 🙄

As if the hot flushes, rubbish sleep and mood swings weren't enough... now your skin wants to join in too! 😂

October is Menopause Awareness Month, and here's something worth knowing...

Changes to your skin can begin during perimenopause, often years before menopause itself.

As hormone levels fluctuate and oestrogen gradually declines, you might notice:

💚 Skin becoming drier and less hydrated
💚 Increased sensitivity and reactivity
💚 Changes in pigmentation
💚 Loss of firmness and elasticity
💚 Fine lines becoming more noticeable

And alongside these hormonal changes, everyday exposure to UV, pollution and other environmental stressors contributes to oxidative stress and visible skin ageing.

The good news? Your skin doesn't have to be left to fend for itself!

With the right combination of targeted skincare and professional treatments, we can help support your skin barrier, protect against environmental damage and improve the appearance of ageing skin.

And this is where our skin consultations come in!

Using our advanced skin analyser, we can take a closer look at your skin, assess areas of concern and identify what it needs rather than simply guessing or adding another serum to your bathroom shelf!

From there, I can create a personalised plan combining AlumierMD skincare with appropriate in-clinic treatments, tailored to your skin and how it's changing.

Because what worked for your skin five years ago might not be what it needs today.

Your hormones are changing. Your skin is changing. And your skincare should be able to change with you. 💚

If your skin has started doing things it never used to, a skin consultation is a lovely place to start.

The best bit about this picture? It's not just the improvement. It's what we do NEXT! 👀

This is one of my Skin Club ladies, and look at the difference in her skin analysis! 😍

We've been working on improving her skin barrier, reducing reactivity and getting her skin healthier and more resilient.

But here's where Skin Club really comes into its own...

We don't just celebrate the improvement and carry on doing the same thing!

We reassess. We compare. We look at what's working, what still needs attention and where we go next.

Sometimes that means progressing to more advanced treatments. Sometimes it means giving the skin a little extra TLC.

12 months of facials? No thanks.

12 months of personalised, nurse-led skin care that evolves WITH your skin?

Now THAT'S my kind of Skin Club. 💚

Did summer leave you with a few extra brown marks you definitely didn’t order? 👀☀️

You’re not imagining it. After months of sunshine, those little patches of pigmentation can suddenly look way more obvious once the tan starts fading.

And this is the bit I want people to see because CryoPen is not:

freeze it → magically disappears overnight ✨

It’s more like:

freeze it → it gets darker → you question your life choices for a few days 😂 → it dries/scabs → it lifts away → fresh pink skin underneath → settles gradually

This little sun spot is a perfect example.

Before
3 days later: much darker
1 week: drying and healing
2 weeks: gone, with just a little fresh pink skin left to settle

That darker stage is the bit that catches people out - but it’s usually exactly what I’d expect after treatment.

So if you’ve spent the last few weeks staring at a sun spot thinking 'that definitely wasn’t that noticeable before summer…' this is one of the things I can assess and, if suitable, treat with CryoPen.

And yes…autumn is actually a lovely time to start dealing with the bits summer decided to highlight.

Your Sunday evening dopamine hit! 😍

You know how some people find those pimple-popping videos ridiculously satisfying?

Well… this is my version! 😂

Watching all those little branching thread veins disappear with ThermaVein is SO satisfying, and this has to be one of my favourite results to date!

One appointment. Before and IMMEDIATELY after. Just LOOK! 🤩

A little redness still to settle, but the instant WOW factor on this one is something else!

Honestly, I get to spend my days with the loveliest clients, doing treatments I absolutely love and seeing results like THIS. How lucky am I?! 🥰❤️

Anyone else find these before and afters strangely addictive?! 😂

❤️ 'I just want to be able to tie my hair up without thinking about it.'

Sometimes the smallest things carry the biggest feelings. ❤️

This gorgeous lady came to see me after having laser treatment for some stubborn thread veins that just weren't shifting.

We got chatting, as we always do in my little clinic, and she told me how much these veins were affecting her confidence.

The one behind her ear meant she avoided tying her hair back.

The ones on her nose and cheeks? They were the first things she noticed when she looked in the mirror every morning.

She'd try everything to cover them.

And she told me she'd actually cried over them. 💔

Now, here's something I hear from clients ALL the time…

'My husband says he can't even see it.'

'My friend says she's never noticed it.'

'My sister thinks I'm worrying over nothing.'

And they're probably telling the truth.

Because what somebody else barely notices can be the very first thing YOU see every single time you look in the mirror.

I shared a story recently about another lovely lady who was forever checking her concealer, worried that a sneeze or a few hours at work might reveal the little vein she'd so carefully covered that morning.

And it made me think about how easy it is to dismiss something as insignificant when it doesn't affect us personally.

Because yes, to somebody else, it might be just a tiny vein.

But to the person who thinks about it every morning, checks it throughout the day, changes how they wear their hair or avoids having photographs taken?

It isn't tiny at all.

❤️ And THAT is why I absolutely love what I do.

We treated this lovely lady's stubborn veins with ThermaVein, and you can see the difference already. There's some redness immediately after treatment, which is part of the skin's initial response.

But do you know what I'm most excited about?

Not the before and after.

It's the thought of her throwing her hair up on a warm day without a second thought.

It's the lady who can finally leave the house without concealer tucked in her handbag like an emergency survival kit. 😂

It's those little moments of freedom that nobody else would even notice.

I don't believe everyone needs flawless skin. I don't believe every little imperfection needs treating.

But I DO believe that if something is affecting how you feel about yourself, you deserve to be listened to, without judgement.

My little clinic was built on exactly that. A genuine love of people, a safe space to talk about the things that bother you, and the opportunity to make a difference, however small that difference might seem to somebody else.

Because sometimes the smallest treatments mean so much more than the results you can see in a photograph. ❤️

It's not just skin, it's how you feel within.❤️

SkinPen: what I’m actually looking at before I decide your treatment depth 👀

One of the biggest misconceptions with microneedling is that deeper = better.

It doesn’t.

I’m not just whacking the SkinPen up to 2mm because somebody wants a 'strong' treatment 😂

The depth I use is decided skin by skin, area by area.

Before I even start, I’m looking at things like:

• Skin thickness - the skin on your forehead is very different to the skin on your cheeks.

• The area I’m treating - I can change depth several times during one appointment depending on where I’m working.

• What we’re actually trying to improve - fine lines, general texture, enlarged pores and acne scarring don’t automatically need the same approach.

• The type and depth of scarring - deeper or more tethered scars may need a completely different treatment plan rather than simply going deeper.

• Pigmentation risk - especially if somebody is prone to post-inflammatory pigmentation or we’re treating concerns such as melasma.

• How your skin is responding during treatment - erythema, pinpoint bleeding and tissue response all give me information as I’m working.

• Your previous treatments and how your skin has healed from them.

• Your individual tolerance and overall skin health.

Sometimes the correct treatment is relatively superficial.

Sometimes I’ll work more deeply in one very specific area.

Sometimes I’ll deliberately stay conservative because causing more inflammation isn't going to give that particular skin a better result.

SkinPen is a brilliant device.

But the clever bit isn’t simply how many millimetres the needles go in.

It’s knowing when, where and why to use each depth in the first place.

These are probably one of the things I get asked about most after people see them in somebody else's before & after. 👀

Seborrhoeic Keratoses.

Quite a mouthful, I know! 😂 But they're actually one of the most common benign skin growths we see, particularly as we get older.

They can start as small, slightly raised patches and gradually become thicker, darker and more textured. Some look almost as though they've been stuck onto the skin.

And although they're completely harmless when correctly diagnosed, they can become quite prominent.

So how do we remove them?

This is where CryoPen comes in.

CryoPen uses a precise jet of nitrous oxide to rapidly freeze the targeted tissue. This causes controlled damage to the cells within the growth, allowing the body to gradually shed the treated tissue as the skin heals.

And the results can be incredibly satisfying!

But here's something worth knowing about the healing process...

The growth doesn't simply disappear the moment it's frozen.

Over the following days, the area can become darker, develop a crust or scab and gradually separate from the skin underneath.

Smaller lesions often heal within 7–14 days, while larger or thicker ones can take longer.

You'll sometimes see a little pinkness or a change in skin colour afterwards, which can take several weeks or longer to settle.

And what about those really thick, stubborn ones?

Occasionally, one treatment isn't enough.

Some seborrhoeic keratoses have built up quite a thick layer of tissue, so a second treatment may be needed once the skin has fully healed.

I'd always rather approach these carefully than over-treat the skin in one appointment.

One important point: not every brown, raised lesion is a seborrhoeic keratosis, so making sure we're dealing with a benign growth before treating it is essential.

I absolutely love seeing results like these. Such a small area of skin, but such a noticeable difference! 💚

If you have something similar and you're wondering whether it's suitable for removal, you're welcome to pop me a message.

This is exactly why I created Skin Club.

One of my Skin Club ladies originally came to me with rosacea.

We started with homecare, got her skin settled and her inflammation under much better control, and then moved onto her longer-term goal:

Even, healthy, glowing, 'nice' skin. Her words. 😂

Once her skin was ready, we introduced AlumierMD chemical peels.

She’s been having them regularly for a good few months now and, as her skin has become stronger and healthier, we’ve gradually been able to add more into her treatments.

So when she came in last week, I asked the usual:

'How’s your skin been?'

And she said:
'Actually… not great.'

Dry.
More reactive than usual.
A little sore.

Now, according to 'the plan', she was due another chemical peel.

But skin doesn’t care what I wrote on a treatment plan three months ago.

So back onto the skin analyser we went.

Interestingly, there was nothing dramatic jumping out at us - and her sensitivity reading had actually improved considerably, which showed that overall we were absolutely moving in the right direction.

Something had just upset her skin that week.

So did I peel it anyway because that was what she was booked in for?

Absolutely not. 😂

We changed the plan.

Moisture-infusing treatment.
Calming LED.
Barrier support.

And the peel can wait.

THIS is what I want Skin Club to be known for.

We don't make a skin plan in January and blindly work our way through it until December.

Your skin changes.

Hormones change.
Weather changes.
Stress changes.
Medication changes.
Life changes.

And sometimes the best treatment decision I can make is not to do the treatment we'd originally planned.

Skin Club isn't really about having 'a facial every month.

It's about having someone looking at the bigger picture, reassessing your skin as we go, and changing course when it needs us to.

Because the goal isn't to complete the plan.

The goal is healthier skin. 🤍
