I often have appointments booked back to back, with a 15-minute buffer to help keep everything running smoothly. This isn’t extra treatment time. If you arrive late, your treatment may need to be shortened or your appointment rearranged so the next client isn’t kept waiting.

I run Karla’s Skin Clinic on my own and work hard to provide a welcoming, professional space. Rude, disrespectful or abusive comments will not be tolerated—before, during or after treatment. This may result in your appointment ending and no further bookings being accepted.

Benefits

* Precision: The laser selectively targets dark, coarse hairs while leaving the surrounding skin largely unaffected.
* Fast treatments: Larger areas such as the legs, back, or chest can often be treated relatively quickly because each laser pulse covers multiple hairs.
* Reduced ingrown hairs: Diode lasers can help prevent and reduce ingrown hairs, making them a good option for people prone to razor bumps.

Best candidates

Diode lasers generally work best on:

* Dark brown or black hair.
* Light to medium skin tones, though newer devices can also safely treat darker skin when used appropriately.

They are less effective on:

* Blonde, red, grey, or white hair because these contain little or no melanin for the laser to target.

What to expect

* Most people need 6–10 sessions, spaced about 4–8 weeks apart, depending on the treatment area and hair growth cycle.
* Hair becomes finer, lighter, and grows more slowly after each session.
* You may need occasional maintenance treatments once or twice a year.
