Adding depth does NOT mean you’re client needs to be leaving feel brunette… 😅

Lowlighting the s**t out of the whole head is not the answerr either…

The import thing is where you put the lowlights, what weave size to use for what look, and what area and knowing when to leave the blonde ends out so they POP and your client doesn’t leave feeling brunette!

This is so important with the time of year we are in because ALOT of your blonde clients are going to want to add depth but NOT be brunette!!

We just needed to add more contrast to get the blonde that’s already in their to POP 🪄 and we can do exactly that with lowlight’s and a root shadow 👇🏼

And we are doing this all with intention, we are not just whacking low lights in and praying that they dont come out khaki 😅

Apparently the only reason your client’s hair is porous is because you’ve overlapped 🤡😂

🫠🫠🫠🫠 ANYWAYYYY…

Overlap happens. It’s actually very hard to avoid completely when foiling, especially when you’re trying to get that proper high impact blonde right from the root and you’re working with a small regrowth

It’s not the end of the world, like a lot of people make out. The important bit is knowing how to minimise it because some of that level 9/10 hair genuinely will snap off if it see’s bleach ever again 😅

Putting conditioner on the previously lightened hair is honestly such a stupidly simple little trick but honestly saves your arse in the long run

Especially around that hairline because I’d quite like my client to leave with hers still attached 😂

I literally just got very fed up with slipping foils, stripes and constantly fixing problems that we’re meant to accept as part of foiling…

But… why would we just accept that?

Scalp Pivoting Sectioning literally came from me thinking there HAS to be a better way to work around an actual round head 😂

And now seeing what my students are creating with it just proves my point even more

She wants to be dark… but not too dark but darker… 🫣

Basically we wanted more of a broken up blonde, not just one massive block of blonde with a huge regrowth which is what we have now!

A lot of hairdressers would get scared of this and go in with no plan and wing the life out of it. But the only plan we need is to add a tiny bit of blonde in the right places and then use the lowlight to make the blonde left out POP and make it look blonder 🪄

And hopefully she’ll still be very much lived in blonde and not completely brunette by the end of it… 🫣

What is even the POINT in that tiny little bond 👀

Just because 1g bonds exist, that doesn’t mean you need to use them 🫣

I could fit a 1g bond because it’s quicker and easier…
but her natural hair density CANNOT hack that

And that’s literally the whole point

Her hair is fine, and the extensions need to match that because I’d quite like her to still have hair when I take them out 😅

So I will sit there hand making every tiny tiny tiny little baby bond 🪄

The fact there are almost invisable is also a very good reason to be making baby bonds x
