11 years in business, and one thing I’ve learnt is that everyone’s journey looks different. 💗

I started with no financial backing, no family business to follow, just a genuine passion for helping people and wanting to build something of my own.

I also wanted a career that would give me flexibility around having children, which I seem to keep having haha!

There’s been plenty of lessons along the way, and I’m still learning every single day.

But one thing I really want to say is please don’t let social media make you question your own progress.

Social media can be very deceiving. Everyone looks busy, everyone looks successful, everyone’s diary looks full. But the reality behind the scenes can be very different.

And before you know it, you’re putting pressure on yourself because you think you should be doing more.

I’ve been doing this for 11 years, and believe me, businesses don’t grow overnight. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes that nobody ever sees.

So stay in your own lane, follow your own path and be proud of what you’re building, however long it takes.

Never measure your own success against somebody else’s social media. Nothing is ever quite as it seems. 💗

I’m just going to say this as it is.

I’ve stayed quiet on a lot of things over the years because I’ve always believed that how you conduct yourself speaks louder than anything else.

But there comes a point where you’re allowed to stand up for your own character too.

I am a woman who supports women. I support people in business. I support people starting out, people growing, people who work alongside me, people who have worked alongside me, and people who have gone on to do their own thing.

Over 11 years in this industry, I know what I’ve given to people — my time, knowledge, encouragement, opportunities, contacts, platform and support. A lot of it has happened quietly, behind closed doors, with absolutely no need for recognition.

I’m not perfect. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve had difficult moments and I’m sure there are things I’d do differently. But I will never accept a narrative that I don’t support other women, because I know that simply isn’t a reflection of how I’ve lived or worked.

I don’t need to list everything I’ve ever done for somebody to prove that. The people who genuinely know me already know.

So I’ll keep doing what I’ve always done — supporting good people, celebrating other people’s successes and helping where I can.

And I’ll stand very comfortably by the woman I know I am.
