Take Care - Holistic Therapy

I know lots of you have been loving the Yoga Nidra that we've been doing as part of hibernation, soundbaths, breathwork sessions and as a stand alone practice. As the weather gets colder and the nights darker, if youre anything like me, when I get in from work the last thing I want to do is get ready and go out again - id much rather stay in my PJ's with my candles on and chill.

So in light of this fact, Im proposing to run online Yoga Nidra sessions! That means you can get the benefits of this wonderful practice in your own home, in your most comfy clothes, snuggled in a blanket in a chair or on the bed and just listen.

As you know, Yoga Nidra translates to 'yogic sleep' and is a very gentle but powerful form of guided relaxation and meditation, that takes you to a deep state of conscious rest between wakefulness and sleep.

The benefits of Yoga Nidra include a reset for your nervous system lowering the heart rate and blood pressure as well as reducing the effects of stress hormones like cortisol. It can reduce anxiety which helps to ease insomnia and promotes deep recovery.

The session will be 30-45 minutes long and take place over Teams. All you will need is a computer, iPad, laptop or smartphone that has the Teams App downloaded. Once youve signed up, I will send you the Teams link to join the session 24 hours before so you can make sure it all works for you. This first session will be themed around Autumn.

Each session will be £5. The first one will take place on Wednesday 21st October at 7pm.

A really busy month this month, with no appointments left - I will post if any become available or cancellations.

This Sunday sees our next Soundbath for relaxation at 3pm at Grindon Church Community Project.

Im focusing on whats to come in November and December and planning lots of nice treatment specials and events, fitting with the festive season, the chilly weather and dark nights, so watch this space. If you have any special requests, just let me know.

This Sunday sees our next Soundbath. As we've moved into the 'ber' months and head into a new time of year, we will be doing an end of Summer Soundbath coupled with a beautiful medative Yoga Nidra practice, again celebrating the end of Summer.
