AI vs REALITY… 👀

Okay, this is something I think we need to talk about because AI is getting VERY clever when it comes to hair photos.

I’ve used AI on this photograph purely to demonstrate what it can actually do…

It can literally add hair that wasn’t there. 😳

It can fill gaps, create density, make the ends look thicker, add shine, smooth texture and make extensions appear much fuller than they actually were in the original photograph.

And honestly… it’s bloody impressive. 😂

But it also highlights something really important for anyone looking at hair extension pictures online.

There is a BIG difference between enhancing a photograph and changing the result.

Editing lighting, sharpening an image or tidying a distracting background is one thing.

But if AI is being used to add density, length or fullness that wasn’t actually achieved, then the photograph is no longer an accurate representation of the service.

And as a client, how are you supposed to know?

That’s why I always think it’s worth looking beyond the perfect Instagram picture.

Because ultimately, you want to know what your hair could realistically look like — not what AI can make it look like.

And honestly, this isn’t about pointing fingers at anyone. ❤️

It’s just something I think we should all be aware of, because AI is becoming part of the beauty industry whether we like it or not.

So next time you see an extension picture and think…

“HOW have they got that much hair?!”

…just remember, there might be more going on behind the photograph than you realise. 👀😂
