Unfortunately, last night I lost my best friend of over 20 years to cancer. Many of you will know him as Luke (The Barber). 💔

I’m absolutely heartbroken, but I’d like to do something to help his partner and children during this incredibly difficult time.

I’m going to be running a little fundraiser, with numbers 1–59 available at £10 per number. Once all the numbers are taken, the winner will be drawn using the National Lottery bonus ball, and the winner will receive 15 free haircuts/beard trims from me! 💈✂️

Every single penny raised will go directly to Luke’s family to help support them during this heartbreaking time.

I know it’s late, but I just wanted to put a little post up regarding the move from the shop to working from home and appointments.

The whole reason I made this change was to make things better and easier for you guys. Rather than sitting around waiting 2–3+ hours at the shop, I wanted you to be able to book an appointment, turn up at your allocated time and be in and out without the long waits. It’s also allowed me to spend more time at home with my wife and children, so I genuinely thought it would be a better balance for everyone.

However, I do need to mention a few things going forward. My home is also my family home, and unfortunately there have been a few occasions where I’ve felt that our space and belongings haven’t been treated with the respect they deserve. This includes children breaking or playing with my kids’ toys without asking, coming into the house without permission, using the toilet without asking and generally not treating the garden and house as someone’s home.

I’m more than happy for the kids to play in the garden and enjoy the toys with my boys — I just ask that everyone is respectful and treats our home and belongings as they would their own.

I also need to ask everyone to please respect their appointments. There have been quite a few late arrivals, last-minute cancellations and no-shows. Obviously, I understand that things happen sometimes, but when appointments are missed or cancelled on the day, it has a direct impact on my working day and income.

I’ve actually taken a financial hit by moving to appointments because, at the shop, I could potentially do several cuts an hour. I’ve made that change because I genuinely wanted to provide a better experience for you guys, while also having more time with my family.

So, going forward, the toilet at the house will unfortunately be out of use, and I’d really appreciate everyone making sure appointments are respected and that the house, garden and belongings are treated with respect.

I’m not putting this up to have a go at anyone or make things awkward. I just want to set a few boundaries so that we can all move forward positively and make the appointment system work fairly for everyone.

I really appreciate every single one of you who continues to support me and my business. It genuinely means a lot.

Just caught up with all the booking messages. The weeks ahead are getting very busy, especially Saturdays, so if you know when you’ll need your cuts, drop me a message and get booked in.
