Always tired, even after sleeping? It’s easy to blame stress, being busy or simply getting older. But persistent tiredness can have many causes, including type 2 diabetes, anaemia, thyroid problems, medications, menopause and more.

Don’t diagnose yourself, if something doesn’t feel right, speak to a healthcare professional. What symptom have you ever dismissed?

Not all acne is the same and treating every breakout the same way can mean using the wrong approach. From blackheads and whiteheads to inflamed spots and deeper painful lumps, knowing what you're dealing with matters.

The goal isn't the strongest product. It's the right approach for your type of acne.

Which type sounds most like yours?

If you love food, learning how to build meals that actually fill you up can make weight loss feel very different.

This is one of my go-to meal preps: lean mince + kale + mushrooms.

The kale and mushrooms add plenty of volume and fibre, while the mince provides protein. So when I'm hungry, I prefer to have two portions of the mince & veg rather than simply adding more rice or sweet potato.

I usually have 1–2 slices of sweet potato, depending on how hungry I am. You could also swap this for brown rice or another carbohydrate you enjoy.

The goal isn't to cut out carbs or survive on tiny portions.

It's about building a satisfying meal with adequate protein + fibre + a sensible portion of carbohydrate, then adjusting the portions to your hunger.

Recipe

Ingredients
500g 5% lean beef mince
2 × 200g packs kale
2 × 200g packs mushrooms
1 onion
~1 tbsp oil
Black pepper
White pepper
Maggi seasoning
~½ cup water

Method

Heat the oil and sauté the chopped onion with the seasonings.

Add the mince and break it up.

Add about ½ cup of water and cook for around 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the kale and allow it to wilt.

Add the mushrooms and cook until everything is done.

Reduce the liquid if you prefer it drier, or leave it as it is.

I don't really time mine precisely, I cook until everything is done.

This batch gives me roughly 5 days of meals.
And this is what I mean when I say weight loss doesn't have to mean eating tiny portions of food you don't enjoy.

What’s your favourite meal? Tell me in the comments and let’s see how we can adjust it for your weight-loss goals, without taking the joy out of it. 👇🏾

Loving food doesn't mean you can't lose weight.

If hunger, cravings, stress and comfort eating keep pulling you back into the same cycle, you don't necessarily need more willpower, you may need a better system.

Sustainable weight loss isn't about hating food or cutting out everything you love. It's about creating meals and habits that work with your real life.

Clearing the acne is one thing. Getting those dark marks to fade is another.

My cheek has been the hardest part of my acne journey. I started with Treclin prescribed by my GP, then switched to adapalene. It’s finally looking better, but I’m taking my time.

Treat at night. Protect during the day. Stay consistent.

Are dark marks the part of acne you struggle with most? 👇🏾

Two SPF 50s. Both look fine when dry. But once water gets involved, things got interesting. 👀
I’ve been using both Bondi Sands SPF 50 Plus and Garnier SPF 50 regularly, so this is a genuine comparison, not a first impression.

Both have the UVA circle ✔️

Both pass my no-white-cast test when dry ✔️

But when my skin gets wet or sweaty, Garnier can leave me looking noticeably ashy. My daughter has experienced the same thing.

And living in the UK, that matters. I might not sweat on my face every day, but rain? Absolutely. Sometimes all it takes is walking from the car park to the office or shop.

Bondi Sands is also fragrance-free, which I personally prefer because my skin is acne-prone.
So for me, Bondi Sands wins.
Not because Garnier is a bad sunscreen, but because I need an SPF that works for my skin in real life, not just when I’m standing in front of the mirror.

Darker skin? What SPF are you using? And does it stay invisible when your skin gets wet?

Tell me below, I want to know what’s actually working for you. 👇🏾

You ate well all day.

Then 9pm arrives… and suddenly you're standing in front of the fridge looking for anything within reach. 😂

It’s easy to call that a discipline problem.
Sometimes, it’s simply a preparation problem.

This bowl was already made: beef steak, carrots and mixed peppers. High in protein, packed with vegetables, genuinely tasty; and ready when I needed something to eat.

Protein and fibre can help with fullness and support a steadier blood glucose response, which is one reason I like building meals this way. Because when you're tired and hungry, you don't necessarily need more willpower.

You need a better default option.

Willpower is unreliable.

Preparation is a skill.

Follow for realistic blood sugar advice that actually fits real life.

Save this for the next time you're trying to make better evening food choices without relying on willpower alone.

And be honest… 😂
What's your usual 9pm fridge raid?

This was my face a few months ago.

Same person. Different approach.

What changed wasn't the number of products I was using. It was stopping the habit of adding more and actually stripping everything back.
Three steps. Under five minutes. Every single morning.

Step 1: Cleanse
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel. Formulated for oily and blemish-prone skin. Contains zinc PCA which helps manage excess oil and congestion. Cleans without leaving my face feeling stripped or tight.

Step 2: Moisturise
Medicube Jelly Cream. Only two weeks in so I am not telling you it has changed my life yet. But my skin feels hydrated without feeling greasy. And I have noticed my skin stays significantly less oily when I apply sunscreen over it. Which for me is actually saying something.

Step 3: Protect
Bondi Sands SPF 50 Plus. Broad spectrum, UVA and UVB protection. Non-greasy. And for my skin tone, absolutely no white cast. Non-negotiable.

Full disclosure- I usually only apply SPF once a day and I know I need to be better with reapplication.

Do as I say, not always as I do. 😂

Cleanse. Hydrate. Protect.

Three steps. Under five minutes.
Stripping everything back has made this the first routine I have genuinely been able to stick to.
