A little bit about me and how I got here… 🤎
If you’d told my younger self that I’d one day own my own hair studio and become a certified trichologist, I probably wouldn’t have believed you!
My journey has been anything but straightforward. From dreaming of becoming a professional dancer, moving abroad to perform, breathing fire at events, running my own entertainment company, to eventually finding my way back to hairdressing.
I’ve changed direction more times than I can count, but looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Every experience, every setback and every decision has taught me something and helped shape the person I am today.
I’m so proud of what I’ve built, but I’m also incredibly excited for what’s still to come, especially this next chapter in trichology and helping people understand their hair and scalp health.
I suppose the biggest thing I’ve learnt is that you don’t have to have it all figured out from the beginning. Sometimes the things you never planned turn out to be exactly where you’re meant to be.
So here’s a little insight into the journey behind the chair, because there’s a lot more to me than just hair! 🤎

Postpartum hair loss can feel WILD 😩 — but in most cases, it’s temporary. 🤍
During pregnancy, higher hormone levels can keep more of your hairs in their growing phase, which is why your hair can feel thicker and fuller. After birth, those hormones start to shift back down and all of those hairs that were hanging around longer than usual can enter the shedding phase at once.
Cue: what feels like half your hair coming out in the shower. 🫠
The good news? This type of postpartum shedding will usually correct itself as your hormones settle and your normal hair-growth cycle returns.
BUT… if the shedding is particularly severe, continues for longer than expected, or your hair doesn’t seem to be recovering, there may be other factors contributing — things like iron or nutritional deficiencies, thyroid changes, stress, illness, or an underlying hair-loss condition.
So yes, postpartum shedding is normal. But that doesn’t mean every bit of hair loss after having a baby should automatically be blamed on postpartum hormones.
Give your body time, support it properly, and if something doesn’t feel right, get it checked. 🤍
