WELCOME TO PORTSWOOD

Yesterday we opened the doors to our beautiful new NIM Beauty salon in Portswood, and what a lovely first day it was.

After saying goodbye to Bedford Place, we’re so happy that the move into our new home has gone so smoothly. It was really special to see so many familiar faces come through the doors today.

Thank you to everyone who came to see us and share the beginning of this new chapter with us.

There’s something so exciting about a fresh start, and we already feel so at home here.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone else to Portswood very soon and make lots of new memories together.

Same team, same love, just a beautiful new home. 🤍

MY JOURNEY

It all began with my wicker chair in my little front room, threading brows. A dream taking shape, one face at a time.

That humble beginning led me to a small rented space within a body piercing parlour where I carved out my first little corner of beauty.

From there, I stepped into my very own shop in Bedford Place, the place where it truly all blossomed.

What started as a one‑woman band grew beyond anything I could have imagined. Seven branches. Sixty team members. More than half my life.

I have ridden many storms. Faced battles and struggles I could never have foreseen. But through every season, I stayed strong.

Beside me every step of the way has been my beautiful friend and colleague Kala — my longest‑serving team member, here for twenty‑four wonderful years. Through thick and thin, through every high and every low, she has been right by my side.

And then there is my gorgeous Huma. Area Manager, my second in command, my right hand, and the wonderful face of Nim Beauty. She is always there to greet everyone who walks through our doors with a big warm smile. Everybody knows her face, and her kind voice on the other end of the phone. She is simply amazing.

My soldiers, my team always there to look after each and every client that comes through our doors, from our teens to our respected Seniors.

I have watched generations walk through my doors. Young girls growing into women, then bringing their own babies. Three generations of families, all part of my story.

I have stood beside so many young therapists, teaching, guiding, handing them the tools of the trade — watching them bloom, open their own salons, and build beautiful lives of their own. There is no pride like it.

I raised my children alongside this business. I grew together with it — my family, my dream — all bound in this journey.

My beautiful clients who became my friends, are a huge part of my journey. Some I have known for nearly thirty years. I feel so deeply grateful and truly blessed.

As I close my doors for the last time in Bedford Place today, I thank you for walking this path with me. It has been my greatest honour.

With the end of a chapter comes a new beginning.

After twenty-six wonderful years in Bedford Place, we will be saying goodbye to this location as our lease comes to an end on Saturday 26th September.

We're delighted to be merging with our new Portswood salon very soon as the next exciting chapter in our NIM story.

To all of our cherished clients, thank you. It has been an honour to welcome you through our doors for all these years. Your loyalty, trust, and continued support have been the foundation of everything we do, and we would not be here without you.
