SSL Massage Therapies is a tranquil, private home based clinic in Chapeltown, S35 run by Michelle a professional massage therapist with over 10 years experience in the industry.

Michelle specialises in Sports Massage and is qualified to Level 4, an advanced, nationally recognised qualification which allows her to assess, treat, and manage many pre-diagnosed injuries and chronic muscular pain, going far beyond basic relaxation or maintenance massage. She also has extensive experience providing massages for relaxation and wellbeing which she also loves doing. She finds it truly magical watching people walking in stressed and leaving feeling like they are floating and zen. As she also successfully completed a VTCT in Skincare and Facial Massage, people often describe her facial massages as "dreamy" and "deeply relaxing".

All treatments take place in Michelle's home and as such, you must have made an advance booking. A walk-in service IS NOT available ❌️

Appointments are booked online and any enquiries should be made via email 📧 to [email protected] or text/call 07443 397529. Michelle aims to respond to all enquiries within 2 working days, during the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Please understand that delays can happen during busy times, times of illness or when she is on annual leave.

Michelle offers treatments 4 days a week Monday - Friday (hours may vary). Availability can be checked via the online booking system which is accessible 24/7 via the website www.sslmassagetherapies.com

Accessibility
As the treatments take place at a residential address, there is no wheelchair access and the toilet facilities are on the first floor (no lift).
There is a small step up into the treatment room and the massage table is electric so it can be lowered to make it easier to climb on.

Self care shouldn't require an explanation!

All too often, I listen to clients tell me they have been judged for or had to explain why they get a regular massage.

Self care is the act of looking after your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
For some, this might involve movement, journalling, and meditation. For others, it might be socialising with loved ones and friends. For many people, getting a massage forms part of their self-care routine, and let's face it, you don't even need a reason to get a massage!

Booking October, November and early December

Top tip: use the chair provided to sit down whilst getting undressed/dressed💺

There's no reason to wobble around on one leg.
I don't want anyone injured or items broken from someone toppling over. Just take a moment to sit down or prop yourself on the edge of the massage table.

If you are worried about hygiene, please don't!
The chair is wipeable for a reason, it's cleaned in between clients.

My last working day before a Christmas break will be Tuesday 22nd December. I will then remain closed until after New Year.

I know it's only September but the online booking system is now open for the 1st of December and a few people have been asking so that they can plan when they want their appointments.

The booking system automatically releases appointments on a rolling basis, so tomorrow you'll be able to book the 2nd of December and so on.
