Monday 20th April (10am-12pm) will be our next Community Coffee Morning. £5 gets you a drink, a piece of cake, and a raffle ticket. This month make sure you bring some extra pennies as we will also be holding a charity bake sale. All proceeds from the coffee morning and the bake sale will be donated to Sunny Days Children's Fund.

Lorenzo is almost 2 years old and has a diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, epilepsy, mechanical complication of ventricular intracranial (communicating) shunt, and visual impairment including blindness. He is currently without an appropriate buggy or wheelchair as he has outgrown his one. Lorenzo's mum who is his primary caregiver is struggling with lifting him because of her diagnosis of spondyloarthritis. Lifting can cause significant pain and result in her being unable to move freely by the end of the day. We have received a request from his social worker at his hospice for a specialist wheelchair/buggy, with this specific buggy the whole seating system can be easily switched to forwards or backwards facing. This is important for Lorenzo as he struggles with choking and aspiration, so on days where he's not managing his secretions well he can be safely monitored.

I now have two pop-up art shops! One is extremely comfy and not going anywhere at The Florentine on Tapton Park Road and the other is hanging out and chatting to the locals at the very lovely Tina Young Nail Artist’s salon in Stannington.

Both places super friendly and lovely but Facebook is currently not playing the tag game so I’ll try again in the comments 😉
