✨ Luxe: a series ✨

I have a whole folder of my favourite Luxe nail sets that I have been hoarding like a dragon. I’ve been treating them all like a nice sticker that I can’t POSSIBLY stick anywhere, it’s too nice! So I’m starting a new series here to MAKE me post them; they’re all simply too delicious not to be seen!!

Kicking us off is an Artist’s Choice set based on a design by the gorgeous Megan Horner. Amelia did a test spin of my gumball machine earlier this year and then kept the design in her bag for months (a fellow nail design hoarder!), saving them for her birthday in May. What a great idea.

Oh. My. Goodness. When Bex sent me literal art by a literal artist as her inspo I nearly passed out and said no. I am SO GLAD she talked me round!

Gustav Klimt used gold leaf in a lot of his work so of course we incorporated it as much as possible here. We used his paintings ‘Adele Bloch-Bauer I’ and ‘The Kiss’ to find details we liked, as well as inspo from nail techs 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚 and Japanese nails / Cafune / Manami, and I even bought a new gold cat eye especially (because I obviously needed a new one 👀). 4 1/2 hours, 2 chrome tantrums and a full phone storage later I am SO PLEASED with how these came out!!

I filmed some of the process before my phone had a paddy so I’ll do a reel eventually. Maybe.
