A little but important reminder to all our lovely customers!

Here at The Beauty Bar, we operate a Challenge 25 policy to ensure that everyone using our sunbeds is legally old enough.

If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, please don’t be offended if our team asks you for photographic ID! 😉

✅ You must be 18 or over to use our sunbeds.

✅ If you look under 25, please bring valid photo ID.

✅ No suitable ID (including Fake ID - yes we know how to spot them) = No sunbed session.

Even if you’ve visited us before, you may still be asked to show ID.

Anyone who knows me knows just how seriously I take customer safety. Whether it’s at The Beauty Bar or The Beauty Lounge, protecting my customers and their wellbeing has always been, and will always be, one of my biggest priorities.

These policies aren’t there to make things difficult or awkward. They’re there for a reason, and it’s incredibly important to me that we operate safely, responsibly and within the law.

I also want my girls to feel confident asking for ID without worrying about being challenged or made to feel uncomfortable. They’re simply doing their job, and I fully support them in doing so.

So please be kind, respect our policy and remember that we’re looking out for everyone’s safety.

A little reminder from The Beauty Bar…

Our Autumn/Winter opening hours begin this Thursday.

As we move into the quieter months, we’ve adjusted our hours slightly to reflect the current demand, but these hours are not set in stone.

If we see that the demand is there, we are absolutely happy to increase our opening hours again. So if you love having The Beauty Bar on your doorstep, please keep using us, sharing our posts, recommending us to friends and supporting our little business.

Every visit really does make a difference to a small local business, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to support us.

Our new hours are on the image above and will take effect from Thursday 1st October.

Just a quick update from us…

Our WiFi is currently down, which means we don’t have access to the booking system or card machine at The Beauty Bar.

We are still OPEN as normal ☀️

Gemma is managing the diary remotely from home, so we can still deal with bookings and enquiries , it may just take us a little longer than usual to get everything sorted.

If you normally pay as you go for your sunbed, we’ll send you a payment link instead while the card machine is offline. If possible, please book ahead before coming in, as this will really help us keep everything running smoothly while we’re working around the outage.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding, and sorry for any inconvenience caused. Hopefully we’ll be back online very soon!

A little update for today…

Unfortunately, due to staff sickness, I’m having to close The Beauty Bar earlier than planned today.

I’ve managed to arrange some cover, but only for a short period, which means we will be closing at 2pm today.

If you have a booking after 2pm, I’ll be contacting you directly to either move your appointment to an earlier time today, or cancel it if that isn’t possible. Any pass minutes used for the booking will of course be returned, and any payments made will be refunded where applicable.

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, especially to anyone whose plans this affects. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience.

We’ll be back to our normal opening hours tomorrow.

🦩 UPDATED HOURS 🦩

WEEK COMMENCING 17TH AUGUST

Just a little heads-up that our Monday–Friday opening hours will look slightly different this week due to staff holiday.

Unfortunately, our therapists over at The Beauty Lounge are so busy with their own clients that they’re unable to help us with cover this time, so we’ve had to make a few temporary adjustments.

Monday: 10am–1:30pm
Tuesday: 4pm–8pm
Wednesday: 2pm–6pm
Thursday: 3pm–7:30pm
Friday: 11am–2pm

Weekend hours remain as normal. 🙌

If you’re planning your tanning sessions this week, please take a quick look at the adjusted times before heading over.

Booking ahead is recommended, particularly if you prefer the stand-up.

Thank you for bearing with us while the team enjoy some very well-deserved time off!

🥵☀️ UPDATE…WE’RE CALLING IT FOR TODAY! ☀️🥵

Unfortunately, the shop is still HOT HOT HOT 🔥 and it’s just not cooling down enough for us to safely reopen the sunbeds this evening.

So rather than continuing to reassess hour by hour, I’ve made the decision that The Beauty Bar sunbeds will remain CLOSED for the rest of today. 🩷

I know this is frustrating, especially for those of you who were hoping to get your minutes in this evening, but with the heat the way it is, your safety and our team’s safety has to come first.

If your booking has been affected, you won’t lose your minutes.

Hopefully we’ll be back to normal tomorrow 🤞🦩

☀️ SUNBED UPDATE ☀️

With the salon already sitting at 32°C and the outside temperature continuing to rise, I’ve made the decision to temporarily close the sunbeds until at least 5pm today. 🥵

I’ll be monitoring the temperature hour by hour and will keep you updated. If the salon cools enough to reopen safely, I’ll let you know; equally, the closure may need to be extended depending on the temperature.

I know it’s frustrating, especially if you were planning to tan today, but your safety and the safety of our team has to come first.

Anyone with a booking affected by the closure will of course not lose their minutes.

🚨 Important Update 🚨

Due to staff illness, our team at The Beauty Lounge will be covering the sunbeds from 5:00pm today.

To allow us to support both businesses safely, The Beauty Bar will be closing 30 minutes earlier than usual at 7:30pm.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate your understanding and patience.
