This feels like coming home ✨️

When I opened my first clinic 15 years ago, I called it Resplendence. I loved the word then for what it represented: brilliant, radiant beauty, and the feeling I wanted people to have when they walked through my door.

Over time, the clinic became known simply as Dr Kasia. At that stage, it was just me, and having my name at the forefront felt right. But the clinic has grown, I’ve grown, and moving into this beautiful new space felt like the moment to create something that represents where we are now and where I want us to go next.

So, in many ways, we’ve come full circle.

Welcome to House of Resplendence.

Still doctor-led. Still deeply personal. Still centred around thoughtful treatment, natural-looking results and honest advice. But now with a name, identity and home that feel much more like us.

I’ve spent a long time imagining how I wanted this next chapter to look and feel, and seeing it all come together has been incredibly special.

A huge thank you to Charlotte at Elegant & Feminine Brand Designer / Content Creator Merseyside for all her creativity and patience, and for somehow bringing together so many of the things I love into a brand that feels completely right for the clinic.

And to Emily at Emily | Aesthetics Marketing | Social Management & Mentoring for helping bring it all to life on social media. I can’t wait for you all to see the content we’ve got planned over the next few weeks.

Most importantly, thank you to every patient who has trusted me over the years and helped this clinic become what it is today.

The next chapter starts here 🤍

Something’s changing tomorrow 👀

A new name. A new look. A new chapter for the clinic.

But very much the same approach underneath it all.

This has been a long time coming, and tomorrow I finally get to show you what I’ve been working on.

The next era of Dr Kasia starts here ✨

Sun damage is one of the clearest examples of why treating the surface alone only gets you so far.

The pigmentation, uneven tone and age spots are what most people notice first, but years of UV exposure also affect collagen, skin structure and the skin’s ability to repair itself properly.

That’s why I usually think in layers. IPL can be brilliant for visible pigmentation and uneven tone, microneedling with exosomes helps support deeper repair and skin quality, and treatments like The Perfect Peel can help resurface and renew more established surface damage.

The one thing it all depends on is daily SPF. If you’re still adding to the damage, you’re making every treatment work harder than it needs to.

Rosacea is one of the most common concerns I see in clinic, and one of the most frustrating because it often isn’t just about using the right skincare.

Persistent redness, flushing, and visible vessels usually stem from a combination of vascular changes, inflammation, and a disrupted skin barrier, which is why treating it properly requires a more considered approach.

With Dynamix, we can now target the vascular side of rosacea more precisely, while also supporting the skin barrier and reducing the triggers that keep setting it off.

If redness or rosacea has been bothering you, tap the link in my bio to book a consultation, or DM me 'REDNESS', to learn more about IPL or to join the waitlist - launching in clinic soon 💌

If my own mum was considering aesthetic treatment, I’d care far more about who was treating her than what treatment she thought she wanted.

I’d want her to see someone medically qualified, experienced, conservative in their approach and completely comfortable saying, “I don’t think you need that.”

I’d want the consultation to feel like a proper assessment rather than a list of things she could buy, and I’d want her to understand why something was being recommended, what it could realistically achieve and what the alternatives were before making a decision.

Aesthetic treatment should never feel rushed or pressured, and the best results are usually the ones that still look entirely like you.

Most skincare routines I review don’t need more products. They need better decisions.

The mistakes I see most are usually the same: skipping SPF unless it’s sunny, layering too many active ingredients, giving up on retinoids before your skin has time to adjust, and focusing all the attention on your face while the neck and décolletage get forgotten.

Skincare can do a lot for surface quality, pigmentation, hydration, and overall skin maintenance, but it has limits. Once collagen loss and bigger structural changes become part of the picture, no serum will replace what an in-clinic treatment can do.

The best routines are usually the ones that are well chosen, realistic and used consistently over time.

If you’d like me to look at what you’re currently using and tell you what’s worth keeping, changing or adding, tap the link in my bio to book a consultation, or DM me 'SKIN' to get started 💌

47 today 🎂

And in honour of another trip around the sun, I thought I’d delve into the archives and share some photographic evidence that, in my case at least, proves that things may actually have improved with age.

There was the childhood spent often dressed like a Polish doll while my parents were involved in taking aid to Poland. Apparently making me the unofficial mascot.

There was an early (and enduring) commitment to ice cream and the fact that my parents thought that knickers alone made a suitable outfit.

Then came the school-photo years. The less said about those, the better. I am forever grateful to my parents for not leaving me looking that way into adulthood. This proves the magic of braces!

Being tall also seemed to mean that I was the obvious choice for every male role in a school production. It’s hard to believe there were actually boys at my school, given how often the job fell to me. Prince Charming was a particular highlight, not least because my best friend was cast as my love interest.

By about 13, I was pretty much the height I am now. Being 5’11” is something I’m rather fond of these days. Being a foot taller than almost everyone around me, including all the boys, was somewhat less appealing at the time.

But there were highs.

Forget the academic achievements. My greatest teenage triumph was winning a Radio 1 competition to meet Blur at the absolute height of my obsession. I’m not sure anything I achieved at school ever came close.

I started university seemingly heading in the right direction. I’d discovered my curls, embraced them and, looking back, probably should have stayed on that path.

Instead, somewhere along the way, I opted for the tan, the hairdo and the Vivienne Westwood necklace. It’s difficult to decide whether this era or the early school photos represent the greater crime against fashion.

And somehow, all of those versions of me have arrived here at 47

I think getting older has been rather kind to me. I feel more comfortable in my own skin, more confident in who I am and far less interested in trying to be anything other than myself.

Now the important question…

Which Kasia era gets your vote? 😂 Please be kind!

IPL is one of those treatments people often know by name without really knowing what it’s doing inside the skin.

Rather than treating everything in the same way, the light is filtered to target specific structures. For pigmentation, it targets melanin. For redness and visible vessels, it targets haemoglobin. That’s why the same platform can help with concerns that look completely different on the surface.

It can be particularly effective for sun damage, uneven tone, redness, rosacea and visible vessels, but the device and the person using it matter enormously. Settings need to be chosen properly for the individual skin type and concern; otherwise, results can be limited and the risk of unwanted effects increases.

If pigmentation, redness or uneven tone has been bothering you, tap the link in my bio to book a consultation, or DM me 'IPL', and I’ll send you more information 💌

Occupational hazard: I will assess your face at dinner, I do consider clinical research light reading, and yes, the SPF goes on even when I’m barely leaving the house 😂

There are some things I’m very happy to spend money on, but over the years, I’ve become much less interested in spending just to have the more expensive version.

I think that’s one of the nicer things about getting older. You get a much clearer sense of what actually adds something to your life, what you personally value, and what you’ve probably been taught you’re supposed to want.

For me, a battered car that gets me from A to B is absolutely fine. I’d choose an interesting independent boutique over a designer label most of the time, and I’d rather spend the extra money enjoying a brilliant hotel or a really memorable meal than sitting in business class for a few hours.

Skincare is probably where I’m most particular, because I see every day how easy it is to confuse price, packaging and clever marketing with efficacy. Some expensive products are excellent, of course, but a high price tag tells me absolutely nothing about whether the formulation is good, whether the active ingredients are present at useful concentrations, or whether there’s any meaningful evidence behind the claims.

I’m far more interested in whether something earns its place, whether that’s in my bathroom cabinet, my wardrobe or my life.

I’m curious, what’s something you used to happily spend money on that you just don’t care about anymore?
