T D Aesthetics
Hi, I'm Tawa, owner of TD Aesthetics. I'm a nurse prescriber. I help you love your skin again.
I specialise in refreshing tired, dull skin, creating natural results with minimal downtime.
This month is Su***de Prevention Month in the UK, and I wanted to talk about how parents can help their children through dark times.
Please watch the video, and talk to your child if they are going through difficulties.
Every conversation you have with your child will have an impact, and keep them connected to you as their point of safety.
Stay well x

When might NeoGen fit into a skin-ageing plan?
NeoGen uses nitrogen plasma to deliver controlled thermal energy to the skin. That controlled response can stimulate repair and collagen remodelling, and it may be useful for concerns including lines, texture, sun damage and pigmentation.
The key word is may.
I do not start with ‘You need NeoGen’. I start with your skin, your medical history, your goals, your tolerance for downtime and what else needs correcting first. The device is a tool. The plan is the treatment.
Book a KNOW Your Skin consultation if you want to know whether it is appropriate for you.

Sometimes the right answer is NeoGen.
Sometimes it is micro-needling, a peel or a skin booster.
Sometimes it is changing two products in your routine.
And sometimes you do not need a treatment at all.
A consultation should help you understand your options - not make you feel obliged to buy something. I would rather lose the income from a treatment than recommend something I don’t think you need.
If you want advice rather than a sales pitch, start with a consultation. Pop me a DM.

A Little Extra… ✨
Sometimes it’s the little finishing touches that make all the difference.
I’ve introduced four 20-minute add-on treatments designed to give a little extra attention to the areas we can often forget - hands, eyes, lips and neck.
Each treatment is £30 and can be added to a suitable existing treatment appointment.
These are add-on treatments only and cannot be booked as standalone appointments. If you’re already booked in and would like to add one, just send me a message and I’ll let you know what’s suitable alongside your treatment. 🤍

Another lovely 5-star review 🤍
There’s nothing better than hearing that a client has had a great experience.
I always want anyone who comes into my clinic to feel comfortable, listened to and completely at ease, with honest advice and treatments tailored to them.
Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to leave a review. Your feedback and recommendations really do mean so much to me.

I use a slightly dramatic analogy in this month’s video: you cannot paint a masterpiece on a rotten canvas.
In other words, there is little point jumping straight to a collagen-remodelling treatment if the skin is dehydrated, inflamed, poorly protected from UV or using the wrong home routine.
NeoGen can be a very useful tool, but I want the skin canvas in the best possible position first. Skin first. Treatment second.

The aesthetics and skincare industries are very good at promising things.
‘Reverse ageing.’ ‘Erase wrinkles.’ ‘Transform your skin.’
Before spending money, ask a much less glamorous question: what is the evidence that supports the claim?
Evidence does not mean every treatment will work for every person, but it helps us separate realistic improvement from marketing. You cannot reverse ageing. You can improve skin quality and address some of the factors that contribute to premature ageing. That distinction matters.
If a claim sounds too good to be true, ask what supports it.

What if I told you the best treatment plan… sometimes includes no treatment at all?
I filmed this straight after a patient review because it reminded me of something important.
As a nurse prescriber offering aesthetic treatments in Rainham, Kent, my job isn’t to find something to treat every time you walk through my door.
Sometimes the right thing to do is nothing.
No extra syringe.
No new treatment.
No fixing something that doesn’t need fixing.
A good aesthetic consultation should be exactly that: a chance to assess your skin health, look at what’s changed, listen to what’s bothering you and decide what, if anything, would genuinely benefit you.
My approach to aesthetic medicine has always been about subtle, natural-looking results rather than simply doing more treatments.
And sometimes my advice will simply be:
“You don’t need anything right now.”
It might not be the greatest business model 😂, but it’s the only way I’m comfortable practising.
Because ethical aesthetics shouldn’t be about doing more.
It should be about knowing when enough is enough.
If you’re looking for an honest assessment of your skin and the signs of ageing; including being told when you don’t need treatment, then you can book a consultation with me at my clinic: TD Aesthetics in Rainham, Medway.

Protect → Correct → Stimulate → Maintain
If skin ageing advice feels complicated, this is the framework I come back to.
Protect the skin from avoidable damage.
Correct the problems you can identify.
Stimulate the processes that have slowed, when appropriate.
Then maintain the results.
It is much less exciting than a miracle treatment - which is probably why it works as a philosophy. Healthy skin is built through consistent, sensible decisions rather than one dramatic intervention.
Save the four steps and use them to sanity-check your routine.

My September blog is for anyone who has looked in the mirror and thought, “When did that happen?”
I explain why skin changes can suddenly become noticeable, the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic ageing, what summer can reveal, and why I don’t believe the answer is simply ‘more treatments’.
The starting point is understanding what your skin needs to stay healthy.
