Life has been busy lately and quite emotionally challenging at times...so what better timing to announce some really positive news for the hub!⠀

Everyone welcome Isla👋🏻⠀

Isla will be joining us in September as our new salon assistant, and we are so excited for you to meet her and to see what her future may hold.⠀
⠀
She loves people, loves a chat, enjoys heavy music ( her and niamh will get on just fine), you'll find her munching sushi, and best of all, she's a coffee lover. Her go-to is a caramel latte.⠀

Our hair team has grown so much, with a wait list now of 3 months to book in — so we’re looking for someone new to share all our wonderful guests with and help us continue the magic.

We’re looking for an experienced hairdresser to take on new guests coming through the door.
You must have confidence in colour, enjoy working within a lively, supportive community, and want to be part of our crazy (but lovely) team.

We’re a hybrid salon, so all positions are considered for the right applicant.
Ideally, you’ll be available to work some late nights and/or weekends.

This position right now isn’t ideal for a college leaver or newly qualified stylist

It’s for residents above and staff only — and trust us, with 14 of us working here at the hub, even our team are battling for spaces!⠀

You’re absolutely welcome to⠀
👉 Be dropped off at the side- why walk any further than you have to right⠀
👉 Grab a takeaway coffee from the drive-by window, that's what we built it for. Think of it like a a drive through MCYD's but better⠀
👉Arrive stressed about parking (we get it)⠀
But please don’t leave your car there while you’re inside. We've had people blocking cars in, and this slows the team down, makes your visit more stressful, and causes the residents agg

Tomorrow marks 4 years, the hair salon became a hub, and we welcomed the birth of Linehan and Coffee.⠀
Our salons very own speciality coffee bar.⠀
⠀
An idea we dreamed of that quickly became the reality. Wanting to relieve my husband from an unhappy work-life balance, help the salon to survive the current living financial crisis, and most importantly, bring proper coffee to the rainham town!⠀

From a small little salon, we squeezed in a makeshift coffee bar and made it work the best we could. Hitting the local news for our quirky collabrative idea, we celebrated if we had 2 coffee sales a day.⠀
⠀
Fast forward 4 years on, having gained our food and events licence, giving us opportunity to collaborate with other local businesses, we now have a huge community of people who choose to buy their daily coffee with us, spend their free time with us and support our little growing independent business. ⠀
