Could you help a lively 13-year-old enjoy more adventures in the community?
We are looking for a kind, patient and energetic Personal Assistant to support a young person who loves getting out and about.
What he enjoys
• Trampolining and soft play
• Trips to the park and kicking a ball around
• Swimming and travelling on public transport
• Music, sensory lights and cuddles
How you will Support
You will take him on enjoyable activities, help him feel safe and supported, and provide close supervision when out in the community—especially near roads and in busy places.
He may become upset when he is unhappy or overwhelmed. Crowded places, messy play and loud hand dryers can be difficult for him, so a calm and understanding approach is important.
We are looking for someone who is
• Friendly, reliable, patient and safety-aware
• Confident supporting a young person outdoors and in the community
• A careful driver with access to suitable transport
• Experienced in supporting young people with autism or special educational needs—this would be an advantage
• Comfortable supporting swimming activities
Hours and pay
• Pay: £13.45 per hour
• Hours: 4 term-time hours and 10 non-term-time hours
• When: Weekends during term time, with flexible hours in the school holidays

We’re looking for caring, positive and dependable Personal Assistants to join an established team supporting a wonderful 10-year-old girl with multiple complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to build her confidence, independence and enjoyment of everyday life while giving her family valued support.
Choose the hours that suit you
• School holidays: 3–5 days per week, 8:00am–4:30pm. A driver is essential for this option.
• Evenings: 6:00pm–8:30pm, for at least 14 evenings per month, supporting the evening and bedtime routine.
• Waking nights: Additional shifts are also available.
• Bank team: We’d also love to hear from people interested in flexible bank work.
Could you be the right fit?
We’re looking for someone who is caring, calm and resilient, and who can respond confidently when situations become challenging. Experience supporting children with additional needs is welcomed. Gastrostomy and tracheostomy care experience would be an advantage, but full role-specific training is available for the right person with a genuine willingness to learn.
BSL skills would be a bonus — and BSL training is available.
All successful applicants will complete the required training. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, which will be processed and funded following a successful application.

Personal Assistant / Support Worker
Oldham | 6 hours per week | £13.10 per hour
We are looking for a confident, reliable and friendly Personal Assistant to support Joanne (not her real name), who lives in Oldham, for 6 hours each week. You must be a confident driver with access to a suitable vehicle, as the role includes travelling to shops, appointments and community activities.
About Joanne
Joanne lives independently in Oldham with her four cats. She is autistic and values clear communication, consistency and support that respects her choices and independence. She enjoys going to the gym, jogging and getting out into the community.
About the role
• Provide transport and accompany Joanne to shopping, appointments and community activities.
• Offer practical encouragement with household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
• Provide friendly companionship while respecting Joanne’s independence and preferences.
• Agree visits in advance and communicate clearly about availability.
About you
• Confident, calm, dependable and able to use your initiative.
• A clear communicator with a respectful, non-judgemental approach.
• Comfortable around cats.
Essential: a confident driver with access to a suitable vehicle.
• Previous experience supporting autistic adults is helpful, but the right attitude is most important.
Hours and pay
Hours: 6 hours per week, arranged by agreement.
Pay: £13.10 per hour.

🚆 What could your time together look like?
Hot chocolate at a café, museums, the SEA LIFE Centre, shopping at the Trafford Centre, local walks, trips on the East Lancashire Railway, or journeys by bus and tram.
Jacob also enjoys music, using his tablet and filming the places he visits. You’ll help him take part safely, confidently and at his own pace.
⏰ Hours: 3 hours per week, with the flexibility to use 6 hours fortnightly for longer days out.

We’re hiring: Travel Support Assistant

Could you help make someone’s daily journey safe, calm and positive? We’re looking for a caring and dependable person to support a young adult with complex needs on pre-arranged taxi journeys between Heywood and Cheadle.

£13.45 per hour • 20 hours per week • Monday to Friday • Term time only

Relevant experience supporting people with special educational needs or complex needs is essential. Applicants based in Heywood or nearby are preferred.
