Weāve had the lovely Cerys and Evie in the office with us lately, and we love seeing our young people recommending Next Gen to the people closest to them!
Tre, who was part of our last VOYCE cohort, clearly thinks highly of what we do, as heās sent both his sister and his girlfriend our wayš
Leah has been working with Evie to build her social media presence as she continues developing her skills and qualifications as a trainee tattoo artist, helping her showcase her work and build towards her future career.
Cerys has been working with us on her next steps to find a placement for her animal care apprenticeship, and this is where our network can make a real difference:
š¾ Do you know of a business or organisation that could offer an animal care apprenticeship placement? Weād love to hear from you, so please get in touch if you can help!
This is what Next Gen is all about, building confidence and helping young people take their next steps with the right support around them.

At the heart of what we do is a simple belief that young people need role models, and our city needs more of themšļø
We believe in local legends who can use their own lived experience to help guide the next generation. It is about creating genuine connections between young people and adults and giving young people the chance to learn from people who have been there before.
These relationships can open doors, raise aspirations and help a young person see what is possible for them. This is what Empowering the Next Generation means to us!
We also want to say a huge thank you to #šø for capturing these photos. Dan is an incredible young person who is building his own skills and business as a photographer, and we are proud to have him on the team for this projectšø
This shoot brought together some of the people who make Next Gen what it is and we cannot wait to share more š¤

Young Person Spotlight | KAYODE
Kay first came to Next Gen looking for mentorship and support as he built his career paths and explored what could come next.
Through this time working alongside the VOYCE team, Kay has developed his confidence, professional skills and understanding of how he can turn his own interests and skills into opportunities.
Heās learnt how to monetise his social media presence and music career, developed his personal brand, started working towards setting up his own business and gained experience across a range of youth-led projects with Next Gen.
Alongside this, Kay has continued to develop his career in music and build connections through the opportunities available to him.
And now, heās secured a new opportunity as a Brand Ambassadorš
Weāre so proud to see how far Kay has come and, most importantly, that heās continuing to build his own path and create opportunities for himselfāļø
If you havenāt already, you need to check him out! Kay Nyne

A really exciting milestone for Mentoring Through Change! š¤
Last week, Jade Sansom delivered her first Mentoring With Confidence Workshop, marking the beginning of what we hope will be the first of many.
Mentoring Through Change has been something Jade has been developing with the support of Simon Ingram, bringing together their lived experience and ideas around how we can better support young people through periods of change, loss and uncertainty.
The workshop focuses on helping mentors build the confidence and skills to develop positive relationships with young people, including communication, boundaries, safeguarding, trust and creating safe spaces.
Weāre so proud to see Jade take something sheās been working on behind the scenes and bring it to life. One workshop down, many more to come!š¤

19th September 2024. Two years ago, this video and article came out in The News, a piece on Keshiaās journey that was launched as part of the Silent Crime Campaign.
Just a couple of months later, in November 2024, we officially registered the paperwork with Companies House and Politely Rebellious Next Gen CIC was born.
Fast forward nearly two years and PRNG has grown into something so huge, so quickly!
From that original story being shared, to building a team, working with thousands of young people, creating opportunities, launching programmes, bringing role models into schools, supporting young people into work and education, and continuing to build something we genuinely believe in... Everything happens for a reason.
Looking back at where we started and seeing where we are now is pretty specialš¤
The story was about Keshiaās past, what weāve built since is about what can happen when you create opportunities and give the next generation someone to believe in.
Thank you again to The News for giving Keshia the platform to share her story, and to Habs for helping make that original piece happen.
